Nice level spot, a nice distance away from the road near the lake. Good views and some protection from the wind. Not very clean though. Good option just before El Calafate.

Emplacement sympa et tranquille mais pas facile de trouver un terrain plat. A l'abri du vent contre la colline.

Fantastic wild camping spot. Great wind cover for the campervan and a beautiful view to wake up to.

emplacement parfait, pas trop de vent, emplacement pour 2 -3 vans si certains vont au bord du lac!
pas de bruit , soleil et lac parfait

Nice place, good view on the lake and not too much wind, but not really flat and only one vehicle can fit.

Best spot in the surroundings, great view, big flat ground and quite accessible by car / mini van. Part of the spot is well protected from the wind by a dune but it did the job perfectly for us :)

Nice spot. And the best: very good Claro 4G :-)

Arrived late, other spots not far. Easy road to access. Really quiet. Great view. Protected from wind.

What a lovely spot, we parked up our big rig here and it was fine and we’ll sheltered from the wind. There is access to the wonderful turquoise lake for a swim and a sunset view. Very quiet and very wild- animal bones around and the odd track of guanaco! Dirt road to get here, but worth it. We met another couple in their big rig too. Enough for 2/3 campers :)

Lugar muy tranquilo para pasar 1 o más noches. Protegido del viento.
Algo de señal telefónica e internet de El Calafate.

What a nice place at this turquoise lake! Noone around very secluded, great view. But there are flies, bones from animals and sadly TP in the bushes.

did not sleep but stoped for a short break. no wind..

Report Check-In

it's a nice and flat spot, it the wind is coming from the mountains, this is the spot to hide, if the wind is coming from the east (also if happens not the often) the spot further to the east is the spot

Amazing place if it's not too windy. the night was fine in the tent, only in the morning the wind picked up as the direction changed. We saw a beautiful moon rise there.

Report Check-In

Very quiet night. Tent with a beautiful view of the lake.

Report Check-In

Good spot to camp, a bit windy but parked close to the banks. Joined later by a couple of cyclists with tents. Lots of room

Report Check-In

Very nice and quiet place on the lake with view on el calafate. Ideal for tent as well as for vehicles, but you probably need some levelers to get a good position;-)

Report Check-In

Follow the gravel road from the 40 and then this spot is a left turn down a gravel track towards the river. Enough room for 4 vans or motorhomes. More sheltered spot is further down the trail right by the river. No issues. Great view across the lake.

Amazing camping location by the lake. About 3,5km from Ruta 40 on mostly good ripio, it’s worth the little detour! Good wind protection, very quiet and nice sunset. Room for at least 4-5 tents.

Report Check-In

A short dirt road leads to a relatively level area near the lake. Some wind protection due to some hills on the west side. Very quiet during the night.

Good spot. So peaceful after crazy wind in El Chalten - no problem with a roof tent. You might need to level up your car. GSM range. Nice view.

Beautiful place sheltered from the wind, nice beach, great view

Report Check-In

good spot, fairly sheltered from the wind, we were here on a day with a very strong wind across the lake. provided enough shelter to set up our tents

Report Check-In

Great place, beautiful view, only a little wind, there’s a fire pit. About an hour out of El Calafate.
