Mexico
Approx. 5km south of Puertecitos, rocky road/track down to the lava beach. Quite at night even the main road is near by.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It is not a free camp, they charge you between Mex. 200 and 350.
Report Check-Inpaid camp now, asked 200 Mex for one night. we didn't stay.
Report Check-InGreat spot on the water in a little protected lagoon, but seemed pricey for a flush toilet and a bucket shower as amenities (both very clean). Pretty close to each other spots. There was also non-potable water at each palapa. no cell service or wifi here. Hot springs were great and a short walk. Go low tide or 1-2 hours before or after high tide for best experience. At high tide, they are under water. $22 USD or $350 MXN.
Report Check-InSmall clearing at rocky beach. No services. A firering made of stones and empty beer bottles implies that this place is used by locals as well. (Could be illegal fishermen (we saw a couple of Dolphin (?) skeletons on the way in)). So might not be the best spot on weekends. Was very quite during the night.
High clearance recommended since way in is pretty rough & rocky in some areas. We entered from a Campo just south of Puertecitos and kept to the right but there are a few other access options as well. We are driving a 24 ft 4x4 with high clearance. Would not recommend for much bigger RVs or trailers.
Probably ok for tents but rough ground.
