Description

Parking lot of a former Pemex gas station, now a G500. Building with shower and toilets for 5 Pesos (we did not see them), also a oxxo shop and security on place. The evening was noisy, the night also - but close to the "parquo la venta".

Latest Check-Ins

I started here one night in my 22' C Class. The parking spot itself was a little too small but no one seemed to care that I parked there anyway. The attendant charged me $24 mxn for a 16 hr stay (4p-8a). I'm self contained so I didn't use anything except the grassy area to walk my dogs.
I was coming from the west (Tuxtla) so I had to exit and turn around for a short distance to get here since it's on the opposite side of the highway. I bought the security guy a Coca Cola as thanks for not gouging me. I'm a solo female traveler with two big dogs and I feel safe here. I've added more pictures. Very strong Telcel signal.

Standard Pemex — we parked by the office not by the trucks and it was relatively quiet. Paid the security guard 50 pesos. There is an electrical outlet on the side of the office they let us use so we could run our AC before bed. Bathrooms smell bad but they get the job done. Didn’t try the showers.

Station G500, 50 mxn la nuit entre les poids lourds. Plutôt calme si il n'y a pas de camion frigo. Toilettes et douches accessibles, tables de pique-nique.

used to be a pemex, now its a G500 gas station (blue logo).
filled up my tank and tipped 10 pesos for the gasolinera for cleaning the windshield and not ripping me off as usual and asked if I can spend the night. she aggreed and I stayed without paying anything else. toilets are free. showers cost 15 pesos and were clean. if you enter the rooms with the showes there are more cleaner toilets with toilet paper aswell.

there are also nice picnic tables on grass and an outside water hose with non-potable water.
NOTE: we wanted to cook there but were told not to, because its prohibited. There were also many fire extinguishers hangin around, maybe there is some bigger gas storage or so... or maybe it was because if the gas station which also would make sense.
there is an oxxo store.

in general it would be an OK stopover, but after the sunset the mosquitos came out, which was the worst we had so far, really, really bad. we stayed in our van which was pretty hot, so not too nice.

there are smaller parking lots on the left side, where the picnic benches are and bigger ones on the right hand side. maybe you just have to pay the 50 pesos if you need a bigger lot, dont know about that
