Description

Really cool surfers lodge on the cliffs with a breathtaking view. We paid 20 USD pP for a private cabina. Camping in tents or in the car would also be possible! The place offers breakfast and lunch, multiple dinner places in the area. Board rental possible. Breathtaking view.

The signs aren't that clear. Keep driving all the way to the end of the dirt road, past the open gate until you get to a closed gate.

We stayed at the parking of Surfers Paradise. The owners are so frendly, Italo is Brazilian, and Sandra is from Panama.

Endroit agreable pour 1 ou 2 van. Electricite bonne wifi toilettes de qualite. Tres belle terrasse avec vue mere et cuisine collective. Cout 10 dollars. Accueil sympathique. Plage a 10 mn a pied. Bel endroit

Report Check-In

Asked for 10 pppn to stay in our van and finally arranged for 8pppn. The place is really nice and has everything you need (electricity, wifi, water, bathroom, kitchen, surfboards, etc.).
The owner and people working there are also very nice and willing to help with anything you need.

We were on a 6m long van and it was ok. Longer vans should have no problem. Bigger than that, it could be tricky.

Report Check-In

Definitely a beautiful place right above the cliffs but wanted $10/person for our camper van to stay at the parking lot. We moved on...

One of the best places we stayed in Panama. Very relaxt guests and owners. Stunning view. Working facilities. We could put our tent underneed a roof because of the heavy rain.
The bigger communal kitchen is still under construction due to covid.

Report Check-In

As described. Parking area is not that big, but can still fit about 5 rigs. The view is just amazing... Worth the stop for sure. Price is 8 pp to stay in the car and 15 for a shared dorm.

Great place. Super helpful as we had some repairs to do on the camper
Loaned us tools and gave us materials. Panama vibe way better than Costa Rica (some places).
Poor cell service but works. WiFi works in common area

8$pp/night Including power Not strong enough for A/C In Case want to know

Wave out front is a high tide wave and requires 800 meter paddle for access. Definitely worth it

They are building a new common kitchen right now so those reading this, look forward to a larger space with better cooking space

Ronaldo and Alexandra are just great. Super cold beer. It’s a good walk to town proper but not too bad

Probecho!

Perfect place to stay even if you are not going to surf (like me). Great lounge with a stunning sunset view! Tour to Coiba could be arranged here also. You can use a separate kitchen, with fridge. Very quiet. Italo the Brazilian owner is very friendly.

Report Check-In

Nice view but a lot of No-see-ums and ants, otherwise nice spot.

Report Check-In

Great spot. Cannot beat the view! If you’re a ripper, there’s a fun wave out front, and if you’re a beginner, you can walk around the corner at low tide and be at a great beginner wave in a couple of minutes. Secure parking, dogs welcome, great vibes!

Nice view of the wave. Would not give us the cheaper rate for not using the kitchen. Paid $16 for two ppl. Cool with our dog. WiFi is pretty lame. It's on a data plan so once their GB run out only whatsapp and Facebook work.

Report Check-In

The best view of Santa Catalina, beautiful deck overlooking the ocean (perfect for yoga), very super nice owners and the coldest beer of all Panamá! We paid $6 pp without using the kitchen. Very very recommended ;)

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot overlooking water between the two buildings. Our rig is 26' long and we got in comfortably. They asked for $8 pp but we said we didn't need kitchen so agreed to drop to the price to $6pp. Nice staff. There is beach access down some stairs but this is NOT a swimming beach; pebbles and large rocks and no shade. Twenty minute walk into town. They arranged snorkel tour to Isla Coiba for us by phone. However, if they want to book you on Coiba Xpress, pass; lousy lunch and be sure you know before you go what you are getting. $1 beer, decent wifi and bathrooms with TP and seats.

Report Check-In

Yes, just keep going down the dirt road all the way to the end. Great views from the deck. Van camping is behind the building so not the best view but it's in the shade. Construction was still going on but had no problem with noise. Toilets and showers were a bit run down compared to the rest of the place.

Report Check-In

as mentioned before. Not complete and still a lot of work needed. Friendly staff, but very noisey in the morning. The good is good.

Report Check-In

As said before really nice spot with a breathtaking view. It is 8$ pp. We agreed on 6$ if we not use the kitchen. Right now they are expanding so there is quite a lot going on (screaming early in the morning, a lot of building material on the floor etc.). We did not really understand what the 2 cleaning ladies were for since the bathrooms where really really filthy and didn't get cleaned in a long time (which makes a camper wonder what he actually pays the money for). Nice and friendly owner that are helpful if you have any questions. Perfect spot for surfers with access to two surf spots. Wifi was broken if working it is only over a mobile data router.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for over a week. One of the best views in the whole trip. You have a view of La Punta and can watch the beautiful wave roll in. Easy access to la Punta and El Estero (beginner wave). Not to be missed. 6$ pp.

Report Check-In

Cabins are now 38 or 44 up to 55 with aircon. I camped for $ 6,- on the edge of the parking overlooking the bay. That is including use of toilets and cold shower. They are building more cabins so camping may only be a temporary facility. The owner Sandra is a very warm personality.

Very nice and quit place at the beach. Paid USD 8/pp. Friendly staff.
