On the north side of the road (I know - looks steep right?) is a small flat area behind a tree / large rocks that offers a hidden camping 'perch' for a solo or double tent. You will obviously need to push your bike up the steep grassy hill to access it. I had a great sleep here after flattening the long grass — the road is silent overnight and you will then have excellent access to the glacier the next day!

excellent location if visiting the glacier. well hidden and beautiful view. only a kilometer or so to the park entrance. you'll probably be dealing with headwinds for the 50 kilometers from El Calafate. I bought my ticket for the park the next day and hid my panniers in some trees by the ticket center to travel fast and light to the glacier
Report Check-InPerfect location for easy access to the entrance. There are lots of space though if you search around a little, and can easily fit several tents. Good wind protection among the trees. Water is found in a river just a few km before. We tried to do sneaky business and access the park at 6.30. Got stopped by a ranger..
