It’s close ! But you have really nice other spots on the road.

Report Check-In

DEFINETLY CLOSED ON NOVEMBER 11 2019. Went to the upper spot

Report Check-In

This place is closed now. There is chain link fence with barbed wire blocking the entrance. There are other pull outs further up the road still available.

Report Check-In

Very good place to sleep in, a bit tricky to access because there were a lot of fogs when we arrived but safe and large. It's bigger than a pull out so you're not too close to the road. Very quiet

Report Check-In

Great view. Good shade. Flat ground. Don’t want to leave.

Report Check-In

Overnight parking at a viewpoint along Camino Cielo Road in Los Padres National Forest. The view to the Pacific 780 m below and the Channel Islands is great. There is very view traffic on the road during night, so it´s a quiet place. Unfortunately lots of trash around.

Report Check-In

Nice place, shade and shelter from the wind with a great view. Quiet at night.

Report Check-In

We spent 3 nights here and the view is great specially on our first morning when Santa Barbara was covered with smog (see pic enclosed). It's an 18 minutes drive to the visitor center with free wifi. There is a firefighters' station at the beginning of the windy road where there is some WIFI and they let us refill our drinking water tanks out of their kitchen's sink.

Report Check-In

Nice little place outside of Santa Barbara. Once you're off the main road it is pretty steep and has switchbacks, but it's all paved. The spot is great- Verizon service worked decently.

Spot is smaller than I expected - you can comfortably fit 2 rigs, 3 if you want to get cozy. Wouldn't bring a big rig or any trailer other than a small one up here (because of the road and the small space.

Report Check-In

super nice view. as stated before don't turn right away but pass between the pillars. if you follow the small trail it goes down to a little wooden terrace with car seats to admire the view

Report Check-In

Lovely view great spot break from cities. seriously steep gradient to get here though and windy road.

Report Check-In

Great spot with the occasional drive by. Watch or for mosquitos if the breeze dies down.

Report Check-In

It’s really beautiful. A great respite after a lot of city camping in San Diego and environs. The wind in the trees and very little traffic. But did pick up a bag of trash 🙁 had T Mobile LTE 1-2 bars but who wants to be connected with this view?

Report Check-In

Gorgeous view of the ocean in Los Padres National Forrest with path to great overlook. Steep hills on the way up but worth it. Enough room for our teardrop and suv.

Report Check-In

Just to add on, had a nice dark quiet night, the overlook looks out over Santa Barbara and the ocean. Several vehicles could fit in this spot if needed.

Report Check-In

Nice large turn out off the road overlooking the mountains. Enter between the two pillars to avoid the steeper entry. Good for tents, camper vans, small rvs.
