Description

About 20k from the border there are some roads that lead off to the mountains. We followed these and found this little bush camp. Nice views, quiet at night. Some horse flies and it was a bit gusty with wind here but not too bad. There is a well built fire pit and lots of wood in the area for a fire, we built pit but felt it was too windy for fire.

Technically this place is still in the Parque so not sure we’re supposed to park here, but as everyone said we spent a quiet afternoon, quiet night and quiet morning, hidden from the road... this place was really windy and there was rain in the (very cold) night but in the morning, what a wonder : there was snow on the mountains all around us, and some sun... amazing views!! Not recommended if you’re in tent because it’s gravel, hardly flat and can be really cold.

Spent one night here before crossing to Argentina
Well hidden from the road
Coming from the park, there is a gravel road like 500m before the bridge, better to take this road than the one after the bridge that was flooded

Not sure if we found the same place but there are small tracks off the main road around this area. The turn on our Maps.me was not a real road but we were able to find a track shortly after. 1-2k after turnng we found several options to hide from the wind.
