Very nice place! They didn't have electric sites available so we took a water only. Nice trails to do with the dogs, a little lake where we brought them swimming. 12$ for water only + 3$ park fee/person.
There are bathrooms and showers in the rv parts but you can walk to them from the water only sites as well.
Need to register at the headquarter before going to the campsites.

Beautiful park along San Marcos River. Great hiking location for those who like fairly flat terrain.

State park with level sites, good water pressure in the shower and walking trails. Very quiet at night.

Very nice State Park. Quiet, beautiful, with trails and many palmettos. Paid $21 for nice site with electricity and water.

Quite park with big tent sites and nice hike options. Tent sites with just water or water and electric options. Dogs welcome. Site has large table, grill and fire pit as well as two paved parking spots.

I camped in a tent site. The sites are spread apart far enough that you have enough privacy from the next campsite. The campsite was clean, as was the bathroom. The bathroom with showers is at the other side of the park requiring a drive or long walk. Campsite fee $3.00, vehicle fee $6.00 with State Park pass discount. Interesting park with 5 miles of hiking trails, unique ecosystem, and CCC history.

Nice campground! Still $12 / night. Can self checkin at night. No showers at the tent campground. I think they are at the other RV park location.

This is a beautiful park. It has a very 'jurassic' feel to it.
There's also a lot of wildlife. We saw deer every time we went for a walk, as well as [what I believe were] turkey vultures. We also came upon a baby water mocasin.

Excellent facility.

Great park, with beautiful and easy trails. Bring some bug spray in the warmer months. if you get bored of biking, hiking and fishing, then go into Lulluing and Gonzalez. Both adorable small Texas towns, with lots of history and historical architecture. They aren't as busy as places like New Braunfels and Gruene so it's much more enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this State Park. Several small hike/cycle trails & choice of electric & water sites or cheaper just water sites. Showers very clean & nice & hot. Stayed 4 nights here & loved it. If staying more than a couple of weeks in Texas & using State Parks, definitely worth buying Texas State Park Pass for $70. Good for a year & gets u your entrance fees off per person EACH day & 50% off each 2nd night on campsite. If staying 4 nights try to book 2 separate bookings to get discount on 2nd & 4th nights. Unlike other States, u still pay an entrance fee per person for each day u are in park even if u are camping. We paid $12 for water only site & then $6 with our discount
