Description

It's a wild camp site inside the national park. It's gated but the gate is not locked and cars, cycle tourists and others cross the gate to get access to a long trail of 4 to 5 days inside the park. Just 50m after the gate you'll see on your right a place where cycle tourists are able to camp. Cars and mv's are not allowed to camp here. Don't make any fire. We camped here for one night with another couple of cycle tourist and it's calm and with water source from the river. We asked locals and other cycle travelers and they said it's common to see cycle tourists camping here. The CONAF car saw us camping here and didn't say anything.

Beautiful camp spot, perfect for cyclists. Stop and take a dip in the river and enjoy!

Report Check-In

As described. Spent a wet and windy night here, there is some wind protection but I think you could find better closer to v. Cerro Castillo. Conaf guys passed in the evening and just asked if I was ok.
