Description

on the road between guerrero negro and bahia tortugas we found this wild beautifull place to stay 1 night
there is nothing and no one around
just a dirt road but ok with our rv no need 4w we parked at the end near a little salar
great experience
not sure you can stay a long time but for one night it was just perfect
(children had a lot of fun with taking pictures on the salt 😁... for us who will not go to south america it was our little little uyuni 😂)

quiet place with a bit of breeze to cool down. otherwise very remote with nothing around with salt all around u. Do NOT drive onto the salt flats. it's soft ground. we got stuck at the edge as we started driving in. stay on the track and u will be ok.

Still a great place to spend the night, remote, very quiet, beautiful, windy (but the wind calmed down during the night).

Great spot for the night, a little windy but not bad, we were in a rooftop tent and it didn’t bother us at all. Beautiful spot!

Super quiet, we didn't see a soul all night except for faint car headlights in the distance from the main road. The salt flats and shells were really cool :)

what an incredible location to find solitude and a beautiful sunset. I was in a tent, which was perfect because the soil is soft beside the road (although firm enough for my Ford Taurus to drive easily). It was really windy but the wind was consistent so parking the car strategically was all that was needed. It also died down when the sun went down. Wonderful cool night night with beautiful stars. I could have easily stayed a second night. What a beautiful landscape. Thank you for sharing. I saw a cayote crossing the salt in the morning, which was an added bonus. I drove across the salt flats, but it definitely got hairy and it is easily possible that you get stuck. if you do that, make sure you have the ability to get yourself out. there's no help or signal service nearby :-)

Indeed a spot where you will be for yourself.
We enjoyed the cold night now during summer time :)
Careful: The salt flat was very hard and so we wanted to park our 2WD on it. Don’t make the same mistake!! We got stuck and it was difficult to get out... the salt is just a crust, underneath is mud!

Great spot to spend one night on the way to Bahia Tortugas. There is literally nothing here, just dust, salt and seashells. Road is far enough to make this spot quiet and private. Beautiful sunset over the salt flat.

Thanks for sharing. What a silence! Reminded us of the desert of Atacama.
Great spot.
