Campground run by WMA of Louisiana. Must purchase access permit and camping permit. Stay max. 16 days allowed.
Nice place but noisy because located within shooting and hunting training area.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Not free as mentioned by others. We had to purchase an access permit of $5 each which allows 5 days, and then an additional camping permit which was $7, plus $7 in admin fees for a total of $24. Permits can be purchased online. Not a bad spot but for the price but due to the loud shooting range and trains that run at night, will not return here.
Report Check-Inlarge and quiet in the night, and it is a good place to observe wildlife from bayous.
free but nothing else around.
lot of trash from local.
Free RV parking near gun shooting area. We slept here over Sunday night, very quiet, no one is here at night and next morning. We were just worried about parking in grass making wheels stuck, but it was fine.
Report Check-InVery peaceful by the river. We have not experienced the gun range yet. This evening it is just frogs.
In the morning, there was a little activity at the range but it didn't start until around 8am and it wasn't too disruptive. I would definitely come back to this spot.
As noted, gun range next door. Only saving grace it stopped at dusk. But then the camper generators started up. Would avoid
Report Check-InTons of space. Right by a river. Flat spots with picnic tables. Very quiet. … until morning when people start using the gun range nearby. It’s not too invasive or loud, but obviously it’s gun shots, so… it’s not nothing.
T-Mobile was nice and fast. Verizon worked but was a little slower. Both usable for Zoom calls.
Report Check-InStayed a night. Shooting stopped around 5. Only water spigot we found was to the left of the welcome sign against a shed. It’s busted but still sprays a bit. River water super murky. Shooting woke us up at around 8 but super quite night. Lots of bugs some where cool. Lots of stars to! Much better than a highway rest stop for sure
@capics
