Stayed in a 2023 Winnebago Revel. No one bothered me. No crack heads either. Perfect location.

The Palm Springs unlimited belardo parking lots are REAL, will not be "permanently closed" anytime soon (this city's unique climate relies heavily on touristry, and facilitates it through these free unlimited lots) ...and are very easy to park at. he Belardo lots are in no way closed. Have parked many nights in a row, several times, never had a single problem or sideways look. It is, thankfully, a diverse community – so yes, there is typical street noise, evidence of mental illness, homelessness, couples fighting after drinks on the late, the presence of law enforcement, etc. etc.

Report Check-In

Parked here and on the parallel street a couple times. Signage seems to indicate it's completely allowed. Great spot very close to restaurants/bars/coffee.
Caveat is that despite free parking for vehicles, the city has very strict camping in public rules that seem more targeted at tent campers/homeless. Our first night we noticed a guy with a sleeping bag in the parking lot, and woke up at 2am to hear a cop screaming at him and threatening to kick him for the better part of an hour. The guy was calmly explaining that he had nowhere to go, and the cop continued to yell and act like a complete psycho. The whole thing just put a bad taste in my mouth for the city, tbh. I get that it's illegal, but the way the man was treated was inhuman, especially when we're doing effectively the same thing 10 feet away, but it's fine because we're in a car.

...anyway, good spot!

nice, quiet, and allowable overnight parking for our transit. would have been perfect if not for an aggressive cop berating a homeless person who was sleeping and not hurting anyone. the cop shouted loud, aggressive, and dehumanizing things for about 45 minutes at 3 am. worse noise and rancor than we've experienced from anyone, anywhere. we stayed put in the van because we didn't want to draw attention to ourselves. the cop was wildly upset and someone and certainly armed.

if that hadn't happened, I would have raved about this spot and it's proximity to downtown.

Report Check-In

Warning of Mentally unstable lady night & morning ranting about everything. Other vans around. Glad we are leaving today.

Here near the PS Art Museum. A little noisy but hoping after 10pm it gets quite. There is a lady not sure if she is just talking out loud or to someone. But we feel safe inside. Here for the Tour de Palm Springs Bike Road.

Report Check-In

We stayed here 2 nights in our 26’ bus after loving Palm Springs. Parked within vision of the Chamber of Commerce. Was peaceful and right in the mix of downtown PS.

The last morning we stayed, an interesting character walked by our bus around 7 am proclaiming “They f****** made it, I told you’d they’d make it, no f***** way.” He was harmless and went on his way. I assume he was intrigued by our rig, as it’s unique.

Would definitely stay here again.

Report Check-In

We were able to fit our 27 ft bus in this parking lot backing in with the clearance we have. A local shop owner said it was a great lot and safe and it was! Will definitely one stay here again overnight!

Report Check-In

Spent the night here with no issues in a van. I think there were a decent number of other people also sleeping in their vans with no issues for anyone. It’s just a little hot but great other than that

Report Check-In

Slept in this parking lot one night. Not too many lights. Was crowded when I got there at 7PM but by 10PM it was pretty empty. A really sketchy guy approached my van in the morning and asked me if I wanted to be in a prono for $4000. Seriously. So it might be a little sketch.

But it was very quiet and would stay there again but park right under a light. Three stars just becasue it can be busy and the porno dude.

Report Check-In

Stayed here on 2 non consecutive nights with no issues, parking after 7 & leaving by 8. The street parking wasn’t full, & felt more stealth than the parking lot. Pretty quiet, walking distance to downtown.
