Nicaragua
This is a restaurant with kayak rental and tours run by a relax Spaniard. He also has rooms. We stayed 2 nights next to his place. We did a kayak tour one day and ate at his restaurant the other day. We didn't have to pay anything for the night. Toilet, shower and wifi available. We were allowed to use electricity from outside socket. Beautifull sunset! Very quiet. Recommended.

We stayed 2 nights. The road to Playa Merida does not seem ok, but we managed with our campervan (not a 4x4). You are right on the lake. You swim among the local people who do their laundry. One day we did a kayak tour at sunset, the other day we went fishing at sunrise. Very nice English guide. We ate in the restaurant. It is a popular place. Recommended!
Report Check-InWe stay at this location for one night for free. we meet Fernando and had a few drinks with him he is from Barcelona Spain and has this restaurant with kayak tours also help us with dirección and tips on where to go next. Nice sunsets and the view of the volcano is amazing.
Report Check-InPerfect place to stay, very nice staff, we spent 4 nights there for free, and had our meals at the restaurant. Enjoy !
Report Check-InFantastic place ! Great overlanding spot right near the lake, good food, and super nice team with Fernando and the team.
We had a great kayak tour to the rio with our kids and Sylvain as the guide.
Very much recommended !!
Nice free spot with many curious families. Have a drink or a meal at restaurant. Use their bathrooms. Gorgeous sunset. Nice breeze. No bugs when we were there but horses nearby and that could change. We fit a big rig in, but go slow and watch for low branches.
Report Check-InReally great spot right on the water with nice breeze and a view of Concepcion. We did a kayak tour into Rio Istian with them (3.5 hours, saw 5 crocodiles, highly recommended!!) so they gave us a bit of a discount: $20/person for the tour and $2/person to camp. Super quiet at night as they stop serving food/drinks around 6pm or 7pm. Wifi, bathrooms/shower, electricity, and restaurant with delicious desayuno tipico (and the plate was huge). It's not gated or anything but there's a vigilante that stays the whole night and the families in the area seem very kind. We set up our ground tent and felt totally safe.
Report Check-InCamping available for $2 a night per person. Rooms available with bathroom for $8 per person. Water refills available for charge. Restaurant on property is amazing.
