Description
Raju andes backpackers offers, dorm rooms (3 beds), private rooms and camping. Situated at the feet of the stunning Cordillera Blanca. Beautiful views of snow-capped peaks such as Vallunaraju, Rimac Rimac, Huatsan y San Juan. A five minute walk away from the ruins of Ichic Wilcahuin .Raju Andes also offers professional trekking and mountain climbing guides for various climbs and treks in the region.
The Backpacker lodge is a 15 minute taxi ride (15 soles) or micro bus (1 sole) away from the centre of Huaraz. Set in the tranquil, Peruvian countryside there are large grass areas for camping (5 soles) a bed in a dorm room (12 soles) or private room (25 soles). The prices in high season are camping (10 soles) dorm room in the high season (30 soles) and private room (60 soles)
Nearby there is a place to park your car or big rig. This is a perfect place to base yourself in Huaraz, it is close to the city centre yet is located amongst nature, very relaxed with views of the mountains. There is a river where you can fill your water tank.

We think the owner posted the one original information. It sounded great. Our GPS took us on a very bad, rutted, pot holed dirt road which appeared to be the only way to access the camping spot. After 2 km, we decided it was not worth it to drive on that road any longer and turned around. Perhaps others would be fine with the road and would enjoy this place.
Report Check-InTried to find the place just before dark. There is no way you will find this unless you received directions. Very unfortunate for us, we wildcamped a few km from the ruins.
