Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Change of owner, no camping offered anymore!

We are re-pinning this place as a camp spot. This would have to be one of the most beautiful properties to camp at, Adela and her family live in a small house at the front of the property and offer the rest of the place for camping with tents allowed anywhere on the grass and vans allowed on the concrete lot in front of an un-used guesthouse. Toilet and shower in the guesthouse for use and hammocks all over the property as well as a pool! Beautiful beach out the front and the lush grassy yard is gorgeous!!! You simply must stay here. We checked out Tortuga and we are sooo glad we didn't stay there. It's like a backpackers resort. Here it is so peaceful and we had it all to ourselves which felt like a dream. Adela is the sweetest lady we've met and she loves van's and hopes to travel in one later in life. Her food is out of control amazing and cheap, you have to eat dinner here. We can't recommend this place enough!! $5 pp per night. . Sink in the guesthouse for washing up. I think electricity is available if you ask

Latest Check-Ins

As others have mentioned it here - this place is no longer a camping spot. It has changed administration and it does ***not*** welcome tents.

We are on our bikes and asked about camping and they say they don’t do that. It looks like a wonderful property.

I am sure they have rooms in case you are on the budget to rent

Unfortunately the place has a new caretaker. Adela and her family moved to San Miguel. The neighbours said that we could still ask to camp anyways. We knocked on the gate a couple of times but nobody opened, so we went away.

What a gem! Adela and her family are incredibly kind and sweet. And the food here is very good! Room for 3 vans on level area. There is a height barrier, we are approximately 2.7m high and barely fit. Tons of grass for the dog to run, and right on the beach. It's a nice beach too. They have 4 dogs, but all are very sweet (most are young German Shepherd pups at this time), and barked a little at our small dog but gave no trouble at all. They are very sweet and shy with people. Definitely recommend this spot, tons of hammocks to chill with picnic tables as well. They have bathrooms (bring TP), and one indoor and one outdoor shower. We didn't use the pool, it was a little murky and didn't look like there was much water flow...but, the ocean is nice!

We did not spend the night as our RV was too high for the gate but we ate here and the food was great and affordable and the wily was very sweet . We spent the night at tortuga verde parking lot next door

Report Check-In

Well, place is ok, quiet when the 6 dogs dont bark. Adela was very welcoming, but then didnt give a damn about us, except to get the money. There were workers all day long doing a lot of noise. Kitchen and toilets quite dirty. Pool ok. Dog s weren t leashed at night as promised. Hammocks and garden were great.

Such a beautiful place! We camped on the grassy area between palmtrees. Facing the beach there is a gorgeous shady sitting area with coconut palmtrees. Adela is very lovely and did her best to make our stay perfect. Food is delicious and WiFi is good.

Our experience at Adela‘s place:
- great and cheap food
- Adela is very friendly and helpful
- dirty amenities: WC had no paper and the bin was never emptied in the 3 days we were staying there. Shower, floors, etc. very filthy ...!)
- dirty swimming pool
- Wifi quite slow

Would recommend for one night but not more.

Report Check-In

Stayed here two nights, $5 per person. Bathrooms and shower were dirty, pool was also not too clean, but still nice. Outside shower was good. Nice location close to beach. Cheap pupusas!

Report Check-In

We stopped here to see if it was possible to enter with our 3m height. We measured the gate entrance, if you‘re below 2.75m you‘ll fit in. Adela had a spot for us to stay just next door. We had a whole plot with swimming pool right in front of the beach for ourselves. We liked it so much we stayed 3 nights instead of the planned one night. We loved Adela‘s food. She spoiled us with all kinds of traditional El Salvador specialities. You must stay here it‘s definitely worth while.

Entry height restriction of 2. 5 mtrs thanks to concrete gate

This is the best place to stay near Las Flores! a beautiful house, beautiful garden and even more beautiful host. Adela is the most welcoming and generous host we have had and her amazing cooking was to die for. Stayed for a week and was sad to leave.

Report Check-In

We came to this part of the country to surf Las Flores, and despite other campsites being closer we ended up staying at Adela’s for the entire duration of our stay. The accommodation is nice (great showers, electricity, bathrooms, fast WiFi), cheap ($5 per person), and there’s an incredibly good and cheap restaurant on site. But, more important than all that, is Adela herself. She is one of the kindest human beings I’ve met in general, and certainly the top host on the Panamerican Highway. She’s so kind, so hospitable, so generous. Just come here, be overwhelmed by the type of love and affection usually only bestowed by grandmothers and fill yourself with 50 cent papusas, which are the best in town. You won’t regret it, and it’s more than worth the 10 minute drive to the point.

As stated before these owners are the best. They make the experience.
Wonderful, inexpensive food. Clean pool. The beach is much cleaner and nicer than El Sunzal.
We also walked over to La Tortuga Verde for happy hour.
Tienda up the street and area very tranquillo.

Perfect quite place with grass tent camping. Great food. Basic shower and toilets.

What a gem! Flat, safe, private camping spot for your van. Full use of old guest house - toilet, shower, dining room, & full kitchen! Good sized pool. We had all to ourselves for 3 days because no other guests. A ridiculously good deal! Also just steps to a huge expanse of black sand beach with waves small enough to play in but large enough to surf in for beginners. Just a couple doors down is Tortuga with WiFi and surf board rental.
