Description

Really nice place to boondock for $8/pp, or with full hookups for $10/pp. (2019 EDIT- NO FULL HOOKUPS) Walking distance to surf, restaurant with wifi, showers, cabanas, and more. Nearby village of Santa Catalina has shopping and restaurants. We had no problem driving over the hard sand bank to the entrance of Oasis but did use 4x4 because we're so big (1-ton truck camper).

Latest Check-Ins

The place existe as a hotel and restaurant but does not accept campers/tents anymore.

Report Check-In

No full hookups as mentioned.

First night quiet, great location; second night (Saturday) forced to move to a less than ideal location and extremely loud parties on the beach all night, incredibly loud bass, could not sleep with windows closed and fan on and earplugs in. Honestly never heard anything like it. By 4 am we gave up trying to sleep. It continued till sunrise.

Most of the staff we found to be unnecessarily rude and as a result wouldn’t say another night.

Access to electricity and where you park your overlander depends on who is on staff that day. If you need plug ins, you’ll likely be away from the beach in a grassy area beside a construction site. Tents have a great location on the beach.

More tent friendly than overlander friendly. Great location on this stretch of the beach; it’s unfortunate they do not treat their travelers better. Would likely have a better stay in one of their cabins.

Would never return here.

This is a very nice beachfront campground. They have cabañas available too. Price was $8USD for 2 people. Beginners surf break is just right in front. For Santa Catalina reef break you will need to walk for 15 minutes before the paddle out. David the owner is a very friendly guy and is always willing to help overlanders with whatever they need. Pet friendly.

Really good spot! Near the ocean with perfect surf waves. Cools down pretty well in the evening so that's a big plus. Wifi only works in the office and is really slow. Looots of shade for campers, which is really necessary! Loved it here. Really quiet, even during the weekend. Paid 7 usd pppn. Cabinas look really nice too but too expensive for us at 45 usd per night.

Really beautiful surfing and camping spot, $8 per person per night, on the beach. There are cabanas as well. A public shower, restaurant and limited wifi at the office. Short drive over water at low-tide gets you to the parking spot down the beach. Great for families, couples, or serious surfers. Best beach in town!

Really nice place to stay right on the beach Estero. We paid 8USD per person per night. Make sure you arrive during low tide as the river will be too high to cross. Clean bathrooms and shower. Lovely staff, who gave us tips and tricks on where to go and surf.

This place was my image of what it would be like to camp on the beach along the way on our trip. Campsite right on the beach!!! No other services needed :) The restrooms were so so, used by beach goes all day. The showers were pretty much just to rinse off in after being in the ocean. The owner was lovely and helpful, and the woman in the office was very nice (and helpful too!). We ate at the restaurant several times; food was so so, and service was slow.

10$ noche.

We stayed here for two nights and also took a surf lesson, which was really nice. Board rent is discounted if you stay there. We payed 10$ per night for parking with a overlanding car with a roof top tent. We could also use the showers and the WC, but the showers are more for the boards and just to shower down after the beach. Wi-Fi is available at the Reception but the signal is very patchy. Also power supply was not possible for the campsite.
