Campsite is inside of the Big Bend State Park (not to be confused with the National Park next door). We paid our daily entry fee of $3 (non peak season rate, otherwise it’s $5). The campsites have to be picked out in advance and paid for there as well. There is backcountry($5/night) primitive ($8/day) and equestrian ($2 per day/horse). We picked Grassy Banks because it has an outhouse and is on their river. There is a boat launch and I highly recommend site #15. It’s on the river and close to bathroom. There is a picnic table and a fire ring. No running water or WiFi here. That seems to be the same throughout the park (minus the outhouse)

Nice little campground. Close to the road but the traffic is not bad so pretty quiet. We stayed 2 nights because it is close to the contrabando trail heads for mountain biking. There are 2 composting toilets and every site has a shade structure and table. Site 15 is close to the river but the others are further away. $12 per site and 1/2 price if you do multiple nights. You can book online or directly at the Barton Warnock center.
Report Check-InOK places but not very "charming", and quite dusty. Some places are in the bush and have a shade-roof. Boat ramp and a very clean outhouse with toilet paper and some movable blue toilets. Quite at night.
Report Check-InNew Price 12$ for the Place and 5$ per Person. Lower Places be carefull. Some very sandy.
