Something not right?

Description

This is Frutillar's municipal campground, nicely situated right at the lake. The place has direct beach access and will get crowded on a sunny weekend. We came here on a cold Friday in February with an overcast sky and there were at first only 10 other cars. It kept getting fuller until 10 pm.

You can either get an individual site with your own bench, grill, electricity for 25k pesos or park at the end near the beach and bathroom which is cheaper ~12k pesos. Bathrooms are rather clean, hot water until 12 pm. Would have great views of the mountain on a clear day.

Crowded and noisy. Toilets just about acceptable.

No hot water at night - but Jose turned it on just for us, lovely chap

Bizarrely the site is brightly lit at night with really bright street lights

The lady charge me 15.000 pesos. I left.

Nice camping by the lake with an amazing view on the volcano (especially during sunset)!
Toilets were ok, no hot showers (problem with the boiler) - water and electricity on each space.
The entrance is steep, but we went with a van and it was ok.
We paid 10000 CPL for 2 and a van, I think it is because we arrive late and off season (and maybe because they were out of hot water).

The road to get here isn’t in the best condition and it is quite steep. The location is beautiful but it’s very crowded in high season. They charge us 18k for two and a rv. The bathrooms are dirty and smelly. We only stayed for one night because of the bathroom situation.

Report Check-In

A nice area with beach access and a beautiful view to Vulcan Osorno. It gets super crowded on weekends; we arrived on Saturday end of the day and there was music and noise all night long and again starting at 9am from the following morning. Bathroom was ok, hot and clean shower. Attendant was very friendly helping to find a spot as far as possible from the loudest noise! Tables and electricity available.

Report Check-In

The gate to the beach and the camping was locked when we arrived around 6pm. It may not be open all year around.
