This is a Brazos River Authority owned and managed park. Designated campsites with nice covered tables, grills, and fire pits. Nice bathrooms with flushing toilets, sinks, and showers with hot water and electricity.
The sites vary in size and there is also an open field area for large RV's or camping trailers however no RV hookups or dump stations are available here. A boat ramp is available as well.
The camping fees are $10 per campsite and an additional $3 fee per person per day. Credit cards and cash are accepted but checks are not. During the off season there is no charge to use the campground from the weekend after Labor Day through the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. (During the winter you may have the park to yourself.) During the summer, weekends tend to be very busy. The holiday weekends during the summer are...just don't even bother coming out. It's packed. Alcohol is allowed and the park is regularly patrolled night and day by local police officers and sheriff's deputies.

This location is NOT CLOSED!! It remains open in the off season, but does not require a fee of $10 as it does between Memorial Day and Labour Day. There is lots of spots if you have a smaller RV/ van/ car camper. Bigger rigs can find a spot if the ones with parking spots along the road are unoccupied. There are flush toilets and showers, but showers are cold water only, I’m assuming due to being the off season. Well maintained and pretty spot.
Report Check-InNo fees as it’s off season. Pleased to see the (Free) showers and flush toilets are still unlocked and open.
Contrary to previous post. There is no assessable power or potable water to be found here. I found two that were all locked up, my guess that is where the Park Host is parked during the normal season. Rest of sites have no access.
