The road is still technically closed for roadworks. There was nobody working (Saturday) so I just drove on. I guess the road follows the whole lake towards, well, who knows where!
It is a large road, dirt, ugly, recently constructed and already in bad shape. The area right next to the lake seems fenced off about everywhere. There are no overnight spots for a few km in, at least.
We were not able to reach the lake, because they closed off a section of the street due to road work going on.
We don't know when it will reopen again.
Report Check-InRemote, quiet, clean, stunning view, this is the ideal Patagonian wild camp site! At the end of road (at the time of writing) just passed the bridge, make a right (-47.385932, -72.303614) on the dirt track and follow the tracks until you reach the lago. Plenty of space, few fire pits, zero garbage!
