Description

A nice, established campground about 20 minutes from downtown Moab.

The campground is along the road, but it's not as busy/loud as you'd expect.

The campground is very busy, as it's so close to Moab.

Nice toilets. No water or hook ups. Easy access to the river bank.

Easily parked our full size truck and camper. The spots are wide with plenty of room and a picnic table.

Fee is $20 and it is self-pay. there is a camp host on site. Although this camp is on a back road, it fills up fast. secure your spot early in the day. very limited number of spots, both rv/van/tent and tent only spots on the river. best tent spot is #4 on the river with two mulberry trees (white & purple) and incredible views, lots of tree isolation. and away from the road. Pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings are the amenities. Just a few minutes outside of Arches.

Beautiful place. Great being by the river. Was able to find a spot at 10:30pm. Cleared out in the morning and we had the whole place to ourselves.

Stayed 2 nights in in Mid October. Convenient to downtown Moab. Lots of ATV’s going back and forth on this road starting by 9am and lasting until after 8pm which we found irritating. Nice hike across the street “Stair Master” that takes you up to the peak where you can look down over town. River access was limited for swimming or kayaking due to steep or eroded banks. Camp host super nice and offered great local suggestions.

Great Scenery. See pics. Quiet. 20$. We can recommend it

Really nice little campground. We got the last spot (not on the water). Very clean pit toilet. Road noise early in the morning though.

All the other reviews put it way better than I can, just another check in and let everyone know it’s a great spot, $20, close to Moab, awesome views, and can hike to petroglyphs from camp.

We pulled in after dark one day, too daunted by a storm to try any rugged free spots closer to canyonlands. The signage for self registration was clear, the parking for each spot was a bit confusing. Some tent campers, some vans/vehicles. Pit toilets. It was $20 for the night which felt extreme compared to some of the sites we’ve stayed at with more amenities, better views, and cheaper fees. Maybe we felt that way because we didn’t have a chance to use the fire pit, table, or grill! But you pay for convenience: it was just a few minutes down the road from Main St Moab. Pretty nice daytime views of the canyon walls and the river, but nothing that can’t be found and topped at local free spots.

Great campground 10 minutes from downtown Moab. Quiet with beautiful views of red rock canyon and Colorado River. There were only 4 campers this Saturday in January.

Amazing frozen views of the canyons and Colorado River. Absolutely silent at night. $20 to camp. We visited in Dec 2020. Cold but worth it. There’s a pit toilet. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

20$ or so per night. Worth to drive a bit to the free BLM campground
