They are open 8am-7pm. Ok to cancel on the date of your TIP expiration.

Cancel Mexico TIP without crossing border experience:
Drive to the border area, no need to leave the Mexican side. Cross over the road to park next to the 3rd white building on the left side of the road. I happened to have come on the day banjercito system went down. Was asked to come back the next day. Next day the system was still down. Was asked to come back again. I can’t because the TIP expires and I’m flying out. Added to it my car ended up breaking down. So eventually they did it through a manual way, but it seemed to be a secret way that they won’t offer unless you shed a few tears.

As others have said, keep that receipt or you will be double charged for your FMM. Also, there's a bald guy here who speaks English attempting to guide you through the process. He tried to tell us despite our receipts, we needed to pay the FMM fee to leave the country again. After we showed immigration our receipts and they said we're good, he tried to take credit saying he told them not to charge us. Avoid this guy.

Visa extension: we were able to renew our 6 month TIP showing our new stamp in passport (we flew out of Mexico to visit family and back from Cancun). We were able to use the same deposit for the new TIP and made us pay the taxes for the paperwork 59usd. And got 6 more months since the day we reentered the country. Hope someone can use this info :)

Just crossed from Mex to Belize today....very easy, very fast. As described by others. The lady at immigration automatically asked us for 558 pesos each for the fee ( cost for staying longer than 7 days I think ? ) but fortunately we had our receipt showing we payed it on arrival ( as we declared our intention then to stay a few months ). Keep that receipt !!!! They should ask if you paid on arrival - but they don’t. They just try to charge you and hope you offer no resistance.
We then went to the Banjercito to get our $400USD deposit back. Gave us a receipt and said it would be applied to the credit card we paid it with the next day. I am hoping it happens as quickly as they say.

As described. Crossed With a motorcycle from Mexico to Belize a Friday around 12 and was alone at the border. No lines.
Everyone is friendly and helpful. Have your documents ready.
I did not pay anything on the Mexican side.

The passport booth is at the end of the place, I was worried I drove to far but it’s really at the end (towards the Belize side).

Just an FYI: if you only need the Banjercito for your TIP (vehicle) just say so when you pass immigration, you don’t need to give your tourist card or pasport. They just wave you through.

At the mecan immigration we had to pay 558 mxn per person to exit Mexico, for all foreigners staying more than 7 days in the country. She gave us a receipt with our stamped passport.

Report Check-In

exiting mexico as stated in description. just bring your receipt from the tourist card and the banjercito from when entering Mexico and you dont need to pay anything for exiting Mexico

Report Check-In

We arrived in Mexico by aircraft, so we had to pay 533 MXN/person.

Report Check-In

I had the receipt for the TIP but somehow didn't have my receipt for my tourist card and they wanted me to pay 500 pesos. I complained a bit, saying that I already paid it and it turns out that the Banjercito office "across the street" can print your receipt if you don't have it, so you should never have to pay those fees! :) (unless you somehow got your tourist card without paying)

Report Check-In

Smooth border crossing. All good.

Note: The 533 peso charge is a legitimate charge, however it’s likely you’ve paid it already when you entered Mexico. We presented our receipts and didn’t have to pay anything.

Report Check-In

Easy process leaving Mexico, as described. If you don't know where to go just ask, there will be people that can direct you. This border was way more organized than the US/MEX one.

Report Check-In

we were asked to pay a 500peso pp fee to have our passports stamped by mexican officials. This is not an official fee, unfortunately we were extorted here. As previously mentioned maybe providing your reciepts for the original visa payment will let you through I would recommend that you ask for them to provide you an official reciept for this fee.

Report Check-In

Leaving Mexico: Make sure you keep the receipt you paid in Banjercito for your temporary visa when you came into Mexico - lady tried to charge us 500 pesos each right away without even saying what it was for.
When we objected and said we had the Banjercito receipts (we had read about it beforehand) she said OK, sealed our passports and let us through (she kept the receipts but since you do not need them anymore after this it is OK)
