Description

Disillusioned and dejected wallowing at KFC, we met a member of the Anjos Bantu motorcycle club. Before long, we were taken in by the Anjos Bantu and we were pool partying with beers in hand and meat in the belly. Their incredible president (Carlos) solved our problems and regularly puts up bikers in his beautiful home. He has a standing invitation for any bikers/travellers to go stay with him, or call for help if in trouble or in need of assistance. I highly recommend you take him up on it... (+244 938 941 080)

Unfortunately doesn't live in Angola anymore. he moved to Portugal 2 years ago. He can still help out by whatsapp and hooked me up with many contacts here in Angola.

Wow, words cannot describe the generosity of this amazing family. We phoned Carlos hoping he could recommend a mechanic for our Van. 4 days later the van was ready, we had spent those 4 days enjoying some amazing home cooked meals and relaxing in the AC, ensuite room Carlos kindly put us up in FoC.... ...not sure what we'd done to deserve this but we will do our best to pay forward this amazing Travel-Karma!

This is there family home, we like many others were made to feel part of the family - look out for Carlos in Luanda and if you see him on the road when he travels himself buy him several beers from us!

Report Check-In

Carlos and his family are incredibly friendly people welcoming travellers to their home. They feed you like a king and involve you in their activities (going to beach, Anjos Bantu MC activites etc.) Planned to stay 2-3days, ended up staying for a week.

we limped into Luanda with three tyres short of two working vehicles. Our two day booking of HOTEL CARLOFORNIA turned into a week long adoption. We couldn’t be happier to be of this wonderful, generous family like no other we’ve met before. We will miss you and your good vibes so much. Can’t wait to be back! Max & Dave

Carlos and his big family are inexplicably generous in hosting travellers of all kinds in their home. We were truly spoiled here and don’t know how we can ever repay the generosity. Be prepared to add a few kilograms, have a few laughs and hear some crazy stories! You’ll have a hard time saying goodbye. Please contact Carlos in advance to introduce yourself and make sure it’s appropriate to stay as it’s a family home not a commercial venture.

Words are not enough to describe how much I enjoyed my time spent here, with Carlos' family and the anjos bantu. I thank them all for the hospitality and openness.

An excellent place to stay at while in Luanda. What's better, they have connections all over the country (both other members and officials), so if you need any kind of information about Angola just contact Carlos.
