After reading the description, pleasantly surprised with this place! It's nicely sheltered under trees if you like. The spot next to the river is a bit steep to get to, but I think the nicest. During the evening and early morning (6am) some trucks came to fill up water, which is potable from the river, so earplugs advised. Took a whole bag of trash to make the place even nicer, will you do the same? the environment will thank you!

Paramos o carro para passar a noite, e resolvemos antes de nos preparar para dormir, dar uma olhada no local.
Encontramos várias garrafas de bebidas, caixa de cigarro e pensamos que ali, seria um espaço para encontro de adolescentes, não quis correr o risco e mudei o local para dormir.

We stopped the car for the night, and decided before getting ready to sleep, to take a look at the place.
We found several bottles of drinks, a cigarette box and we thought that there would be a place for teenagers to meet, I didn't want to take the risk and changed the place to sleep.

We had a terrible night here. Many teenagers came to smoke and drink till late at night (at least till 1am) while we were here. The traffic in the morning is noisy and starts around 7am. At 8.30am more teens came to smoke pot, they parked just next to us and put reggaeton very loud... We only stayed cause it was late and it's hard to find another spot in this town, but if you have time I'd recommend driving out of town.

We spent a few nights at this place. It's a flat space next to the river, a bit away from the city, just enough to be quiet at night. There's a lot of mud around, but there's no real risk of getting bogged down. There is internet signal, a little bad. There are no facilities.

Passamos algumas noites nesse lugar. É um espaço plano ao lado do rio, um pouco afastado da cidade, apenas o suficiente para ser silencioso durante a noite. Tem bastante lama ao redor, mas não há risco real de atolar. Há sinal de internet, um pouco ruim. Não há facilidades.

Nice place along the river, good for a night if you want a place near the city but not inside it. A bit Noisy in the morning with the traffic going in the city but overall ok.

This spot is okay if you want to be near town. There is a TON of trash, it’s clearly used as a party spot by locals judging by the countless beer cans and leftover meat packaging from asados, toilet paper, etc. At 11:30 PM several locals rocked up and were blasting cumbia and talking loudly (on a Monday night, no less). Of course the spot is to be used by all, but we found this pretty annoying. A fair amount of road noise.

One pro is that there’s a good amount of level ground, you could probably fit a big rig here but you are fairly visible from the road. The river is also very pretty, but looks a bit dirty and I wouldn’t recommend drinking from it. Probably fine for washing dishes.

If you need to be close to town and don’t mind picking your way around the trash, this place is fine. If you prefer more privacy and cleanliness, I’d look elsewhere.

Perfect place if you need to stay close to the city. Some traffic late and early, but quiet enough during the night. We parked on the upper spot next to the bushes. You're not totally hidden but have some privacy and access to the river very close.

This spot is very recommended if you want to stay near the city for free. Was quiet and we had 3G internet signal.

There are 3 different spots just right next to each other. One on each side of the river the other one a level higher. Access is ok but one is pretty rough and steep. rubbish containers around! good spot for one night!

good overnight city spot. Shadocks pumping all day long, but friendly and not so loud. We didn't get any noise from locals. Public toilets after the bridge

Great for a night. Close to town and free. Very quiet for us on a Tuesday. Only the cops paying a little visit around midnight, just checked our passport and wished us a good night!

If you really need to spend a night naxt to Coyhaique it is an option. The place is next to the road and frequently visited by locals by night. What is more some heavy tanks pump water here using generator even at 11pm. GSM network is present H+. For us just acceptable to overnight.

We stayed here 2 night in a row. First night there was another campervan. Second night 4 others overlanders. So plenty of space ! The place have nothing special but it is convenient

Stayed here on the way south in late winter, early spring: nice and convenient spot with just the sound of the river. Came back on our way north during summer holiday and this placed is rammed on warm days as it is a swimming place for families. Because it is one of the few spots we found and we had a lot of things to do in town, we stayed here 3 nights of which all nights were disturbed by local kids hanging out, drinking, loud music and pissing around our rig. Anyway it has its moments, like late night or early morning swimming is nice. Although it is usually locals leaving trash, we did several clean ups, as we are : we have time and we need to keep these kind of free spots accesible. Please help to keep it clean, its only 10 mins of your time and it sets an example.

We camped on the other side of the road. Very nice spot hidden from the road. The sound of the river was louder than the road. This site only for tents, we could reach it with our motorbike and parked next to our tent. We recommend.

Stayed 2 nights on this parking lot. We spent good and quiet nights. Very convenient as it is close from the city.

Not bad for a free place to park the van and sleep in it for the night. No locals on a Saturday night, but there are beer cans a trash around the area.

Nice spot to camp - enough space to park and then set up the tent below by the river. It's windy, but mostly quiet.

Started off quiet until it became the party venue if choice for some local drunks, which continued until dawn. Probably a good night stop if you are luckier with the company than we were.

Hard to find a spot for wildcamping..stayed here 2 nights (not in a row). It was okay but very windy! Not so much traffic.

FREE. Convenient parking for the night if need to stay near town. By the river. Quiet night.
