Awesome canyon in Anza Borrego state park. Not far from the slot canyon. Well marked roads, and camping areas. No fires (unless you can keep it up off the ground). No cell reception, but quiet and down out of the wind! Leave No Trace!

Amazingly quiet spot, plenty of room, we stayed right at the end of the canyon with hundreds of swallow birds flying on the back cliff.
Just a perfect spot, no issue with our 2WD.
Beautiful spot! And a much needed respite from the howling desert winds this time of year.
No problem for my 2WD transit, but you could potentially find yourself mildly stuck if you venture too far off the main road. Just be cautious.
Zero Verizon signal in the canyon, and very weak signal at the road fork before.
Report Check-InApparently camping is allowed only within 1 car length of road. kind of confusing because some tracks and campsites are way off main roads with no signage. ranger was kind enough not to write a ticket as I was willing to closer to main road. interesting.
Report Check-InWe stayed 2 nights. First night there was 3 other rigs, second night we had the place to ourselves. Few hikers during the day. Lots of bees looking for water!
As described. Quiet, no cell reception.
Amazing free spot in the little canyon! Really pretty and lots of neat flat spots, some with trees for shade. We chatted briefly with a park ranger, he said it can be busy on weekends, that we were lucky to be there on a weekday. Only a few other people around, out of sight from us. Great stay!
Report Check-InSeveral good spots in the canyon but the one at the end off to the left is the best imo. It tucked into a little side canyon with walls of rock on three sides, giving needed shade during the afternoon. Quiet all day and night!
Report Check-InBeautiful canyon camping: signposted off dirt road just before slot canyon parking. 2wd access, lots of space, quiet. One walk in fire ring on top section. Wild camping as it should be!
Report Check-InNice camping spots in the canyon. Very quiet. Wonderfull 360 degres view from the Borrego Mountain. Follow the path at the end of the canyon.
Report Check-InGreat place. Numerous options for camping along the road. Once off 78, you will pass two junctions, follow the signs to Hawk Canyon. Dead quiet. Nice scenery. No t-mobile service at the camp spot, but if walk back out the road 5 minutes there is LTE service.
Report Check-InGreat spot, very quiet, we were alone. Make sure to pack out what you packed in
Report Check-InBeautiful canyon with good signage and several level spots for camping. There was only one other camper in the area for the night we were there. Decent dirt road in and easy for our 4WD Sprinter van. It would be tricky for a truck and trailer. The desert was forecasted for 20-30mph winds, but we were well protected in Hawk Canyon.
