Something not right?

Description

A nice boondocking site on the outskirts of the village of Jalcomulco right on the Río Los Pescados. There’s enough space for campers of any size but the access road might be a problem for low clearance rigs. No facilities, no Telcel network. Free.

Great place to camp near the river. Quiet and calm at night. Locals like to come hangout or swim here during the day. We hiked in the mountain in the day and were so pleased to swim in the river after a very hot hike. Full telcel bars. Follow the signs that say La Playita.

Nice place,, semi horseshoe bend on a river of medium size which would be considered one of many in southern Mexico. it's just outside of town it's quiet, the beach is fairly clean. you can have this place all to yourself for as long as you want it. nice people around town and very few here at the beach.

Just as said,,, quiet place to pull off and enjoy by yourself... I wouldn't try these roads near this site with anything less than a truck... A 4 by 4 would be better. No larger rv than a small. Camper..... Last night I had to use a sleeping bag and blanket..... Now I don't need either
one :(

I spent 2 peaceful nights here - saw and heard no sign of a pump nearby, and actually comparatively little rubbish. Couple of fisherman and dog walkers late in the eve and early morning and one set of rafters coming by (river is fast-moving and muddy at the time of visit, early July) were the only other people I saw. It's very dark at night and feels pretty isolated, but actually there are houses nearby and I was assured it was safe by people up in the town. Had to take it slow on the rocky access road in my standard-clearance Chevy Astro. Slept super well with the white noise of the river!

Nice spot treated badly.
Trees providing the shade. At this time of the year, relatively slow moving and shallow river, perhaps good for swimming.

Some 25m down the river the gas powered pump goes full blast. Considarable amount of garbage.
We did not stay for those two reasons.
