just before the bridge (coming from Oiapoque) there is an abandoned house.. just the roof and the floor. very nice. netx to the river to take a bath, but just a little because is contaminated with the gold mining.

Just before this place there is a house on the right with a sign showing distances to various places. There are lots of mango trees affording lots of shade if you were to ask the owners it would also be a good spot to overnight.
Just after this there is the half-way point restaurant (half way on the unpaved section). It has toilets and could also be another option - with permission from the owner.
