This is a lovely spot. Dolphins came by at 2 pm two days in a row. The only problem: mice are invasive.

As described, turn off at km 84, easy access, a number of spots along a rocky beach with shrubs in between that provide separation. The anomaly for our 3 night stay was being asked to pay on day 2, even though it's a free beach. He asked for 20 USD, which I refused to pay, so he made his way down the beach and, after being told no at the 4 van, he left. I'm not opposed to paying, but he clearly had no authority to collect.

Stayed here last night with two vans, and it was beautiful and secluded. Lots of bugs this time of year. This morning around 10:15am the Marina (marines / coast guard?) showed up with their guns. Three of them surrounded the vans while one of them walked around. My wife asked if everything was ok and they said yes. Looked out the photo copies of our passports and went away. Weird and stressful for no reason (apparent to us at least)

This place is great. Access isn't hard at all, just a couple loose rocks and a bit of water erosion. Easy for any vehicle, at least when dry. Several "spots", and you can keep going north to the next spot marked on ioverlander, just beware it's more rocky there, so may not be suitable for a sedan.

The view is beautiful, sunrises are a show, and we saw dolphins. We were pretty much alone for a solid 48 hours. We had no issues whatsoever.

No cell reception. Starlink worked flawlessly with open view of the sky towards the North. Plenty of south open sky for solar panels too.

Check warnings for "birdsong camp" just south of here. You can walk there easily. There is a hole on the ground in that area, with water at the bottom, may need to be extra careful with kids and pets.

Awesome secluded spot! Really nice to be away from all the big RV’s. Encountered a big yellow snake sunbathing on the dirt road as soon as I turned off KM84.

SAW DOLPHINS JUMPING!!! :-) Perfection.

Real deal. Exit is right at marker km84. Google maps from iOverlander puts you too far south. After descending the hill head all the way left to the last spot with a pile of pink scallop shells at the back. Killer view. Worth the mesquite scratches? That’s up to you. Probably 10 or more spots. Was one other van there when we were there.

Feels like the holy grail of wild camping spots if you can get past the slightly rocky entrance. Huge area just off the road at km 84. So many individual hidden spots, feels like it could easily accommodate 20+ vehicles and still have privacy. Good mix of areas right next to the water, or back among the cactus. I tent camped on a level patch of loose gravel right near the water which had a nice breeze to keep away most of the October sandflies & mosquitos. Wave noise helped to hide road noise. Some AMAZING places to find nice shells along this small bay. Beautiful sunsets/sunrises, one of my favourite spots I’ve camped at, and I’ve camped at a lot of spots in my 6000 miles so far!

Very nice little rock beach with easy access!
You might get lucky going snorkeling but honestly not the best of the bay.

Came here because all beaches to the north were packed (on a Friday), believe we were the only campers here all weekend. Free. Entrance at km marker 84. Thanks to the campers who bush-wacked for big rigs to get in! Spots are private from each other and have beach access. Most spots are perfect for vans to back into, not many spots for rv/trailers. Rocky beach and some weeds, but was perfect for our dogs to be off-leash and play in the water. Saw a couple yellow scorpions at night. When snorkeling saw stingrays and starfish! Careful when it’s wet, saw lots of old ruts from people sinking in. Little to no garbage…let’s keep it that way :) Enjoy!

We stayed 2 nights here and absolutely loved it. We saw quite a few dolphins and went out paddle boarding. It’s also very nice for fires as there is lots of drift wood. No cell service.

Excellent spot and the coordinates are perfect. I'm the only one camping here tonight. There's tons of room for all size rigs. Make sure you enter the correct road, or there may be bushes. The incorrect road is a short ways south and drops down steeply, but there are a few spots there for vans and such. The correct road is at KM marker 84. It is pretty dry right now, but looks like there was a lot of wet mud recently.

Beautiful Rocky Beach BOC.
Easy access with 2wd, low clearance vehicles, vans or small motor homes/trailers.
No amenities. No Cell.
Just a beautiful beach.
halfway between Loreto and Mulegé on the Bahia de Conception.
Windy day, so am very grateful for all the shrubbery wind breaks.
few people here, heard it was busier further north so decided to stay.

A very special place, where you can camp on the broom of the beach, and high tide comes to within 20 feet of the vehicle. Lots of room for a number of campers to have relative privacy from each other. The bay recedes nicely from the main flow of wind and waves, such that it is a nice place for launching small boats, even though rocky. There is also a small fish camp to the south.

We spent more than 1.5hr cutting back all the spikes and branches sticking out from the bushes so our rv can get through without getting scratched . It was was an exhausting exercise . I wish the person who noted previously this site is ok for large rig take note of this when they comment in future and understand what is required for ‘big rig’ accessibility.

Having enough room to park isn’t enough for justifying ‘big rig’ friendly. Big rigs are usually wider and need more room to navigate. We also need room to turn around. Once committed, we can’t uturn or backup easily.
The sharp thorny mesquite, cactuses, trees and bushes on this approach stuck out too much it would have scratched our truck and rv.
But hey, now that we did the hard work - it’s cleared for ‘big rigs’! Anyone even bigger than us can make it!
That said, there is probably just one spot by the water is ideal for big rigs. The space everywhere else are great for vans and cars. The huge clearing before the water is soft and muddy. If you have a heavy rig, your wheels may sink!

We absolutely enjoyed it here… The reviews are accurate… Rocky camping right on the sea with unlimited small pieces of driftwood… Decent snorkeling we can easily launch canoe…

Watch out we saw a yellow scorpion 🦂

Very peaceful and you don’t notice that it’s right off the highway… Nice quiet change on your way south from Mulegé or north from loreto

What a great spot tucked away from the road with plenty of room for a large rig! The pull off is at 84k marker. Will definitely be back when heading back to the US.

Stayed 2 nights here on the week end. Rocky beach, we saw 20 dolphin on sunday morning. Easy access when dry, really nice spot

Amazing place! We were shocked that we were the only ones here on a Friday (especially when all the other beaches nearby have locals posted up charging a rental fee). It was pretty clean too - we picked up beer cans that were left in a fire pit. Went snorkeling but there wasn’t much to see. Beautiful sunrise! Easy to access and plenty of private spots along this beach. 100% recommend.

Yup! This is a winner!! Many spots 2WD accessible unless it’s wet. Again we are the only ones here. Someone left us a stack of firewood. Too bad the left TP in the bushes. Please people clean up after yourselves!

Quiet. Safe. Beautiful sunrise! We parked here for one night on our way to La Paz and loved it. We were the only van here which made it nice, quiet, and relaxing! Beach is rocky with lots of shells as well as pretty clean! Would definitely recommend!

This is indeed a nice little spot. There is room here for about 15 to 20 vehicles spread out. All of the beaches are rocky and yes there is plenty of firewood. Road noise is minimal. As soon as you pull off the road there is a big spot that can be muddy after a rain; it was a little greasy when I was here and it hadn’t rained for about 10 days.

Nice spot. Easy access, we didn’t have a lot of clearance on our vehicle so this was perfect. Lovely little beach with lots of firewood, just as described.
I did pick up a kitchen bag’s worth of garbage off the beach.

Second time staying here; we were going to drive past and continue north but couldn’t pass by this campsite without staying here again, it’s just too good.

It’s of my favorite campsites on the continent. Bioluminescent plankton, dolphins, sea stars, abundant firewood, total privacy, total silence. Perfection. No cell signal.

Great camps pot next to the bay. Beach is very rocky but has lots of beautiful big shells. Can hear the road traffic but not bothersome. The night sky was beautiful. Short drive from the road 2WD. Fire pits and loads of firewood.

Great 2 night stay. Easy access off highway 1 with 2wd. Lots of camp spots beside the ocean. No cell coverage here. Met a nice couple camped beside me and really enjoyed my time there even though it was really windy.

Such an amazing spot. We drove as far as you can go to the left and camped with two Sprinter vans right by the shore, doors open to the bay. There is UNLIMITED firewood. Saw nobody else here while we were here. SO much better than the RV campground spots further north; that’s just not our style. If you hike the beach south you’ll come across many old abandoned fishing camps. Enjoy!

fantastic place. the previous night we stayed at the "sand bar" further north and was disappointed. loud partiers, crowded, busy and disgusting toilets. here...we were the only ones here for 2 nights and it was great.

Pros - FREE, quiet, oceanfront, good snorkelling, access was (only rain was the night before)

cons - rocky beach...still do-able though, and potential for muddy if heavy rains.

seems like one of the few still free spots here. it's a rocky beach, but clean and good to swim. plankton lit up at night with the incoming waves 🥰. and we saw some rays jumping.
the road is hard packed and easy accessible with 2wd. don't just pick the first spot, wrap around to the left a bit and you will be less visible from the road and able to drive right to the water.

Nice quiet wild camping site. A bit windy. Tons of driftwood for fires. 100m from the road so there is some highway noise. There are many camp sites, though we saw no one else.

we spent a night here all alone after the other vehicles left a little after we pulled in. There are a lot of spots here and a couple are not visible from the road. you get road noise but its flat so no too much breaking or accelerating and its tolerable (better than many other spots we stopped at on this bay). a couple of fish camps just south, one was occupied and met some nice fisherman who were not catching many fish.

2wd accessible. Easy drive off highway. Rocky beach with a ton of driftwood for camp fires. We stayed one night and it was beautiful. Swimming is great if you're okay with a rocky entrance. No cell service but that's to be expected out here. Beautiful blue waters and quiet night. Enjoy!
