Description
Senasa is the Argentina version of USDA, department of agriculture. They are required for pet paperwork.
We didn't get to Rio Gallegos before 2pm when the normal Senasa closes.
This Senasa office is open late nights, weekends and holidays: M-F 17-20h; Sat Sun Holidays 9-12h and 16-20. We paid a 590 AR fee to do it after hours.
You can only go this one if you're travelling to Tierra del Fuego. If not, you have to go to the regular office downtown.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

They could not process the paperwork for our dog to cross the border here. I don’t believe they have the correct people on staff to do so. The location downtown marked as the new SENASA can do it.

Abre hasta las 21 horas y trabaja todos los días, inclusive feriados. LLegamos el 30 dediciembre a las 20:30 y el mismo chico que nos atendió es veterinario, por lo que él mismo nos hizo todos los papeles y le dió las vacunas y desparasitantes a nuestro perro.
El trámite salía $1500 (a eso sumarle las vacunas y desparasitantes)

Warning: if like us you plan on traveling from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas, you have to go to the other Senasa office or you'll have to go back to a Senasa office once in Ushuaia as the papers/requirements are not the same.
140 + 590 AR to get our papers for our cat.
You cannot use this place for papers if you are going to Chile near Torres De Paine. It is for papers to the Island with Ushuaia. I was sent to the other office.
Report Check-Inawesome office! it literally took her 5 minutes to make the papers and she gave us 3 sets. we told her what a shit show the office in El calafate is. we paid 100 pesos + 470 fee. I'm not sure if that's an expedited fee but I'm fine with that. :)
