What a great spot. Booked on line . Campground full but very quiet. Awesome host greeted us. Clean bathrooms. Would definitely stay again. Drive the loop road a few miles east. Tons of gators.

We sleped here 3 nights, very calm and nice around a small lake. But no services for the majority of the sites

All sites face the small lake. No separation between sites but they’re not too close together. Great breeze on the east side, and gorgeous sunrise and sunset. $28 a night, less with national interagency pass. Hot showers and potable water at the shower house. Alligators in the lake so walk dogs on the road. Not busy at all right now, but the very helpful volunteers say it’s very busy after the holidays.

Recently improved. New bath house with free hot showers. sites on the north side are partially shaded.

Fantastic campground with alligators! I saw them swimming both days. Pets are allowed, just make sure they're on a leash and away from the lake. Very good Verizon and AT&T coverage. No showers, but the washrooms are clean with potable water. Absolutely bring bigspray, I got eaten alive the first night. $24 for tent camping, $26 for RVs. Reservations can be made through recreation.gov but I just showed up and paid cash.

Tried “wild camping” in a different spot not got quickly and extremely nicely told to move on.

Nice fire pits, flat ground, self check in, spaces are close together but campsite wasn’t that busy.

Pretty lake in the morning!

Report Check-In

Quite nice campground. Tables and fire pits at every site. But almost no shade. Best chance of shade is in the north of the lake (sites 14-26). There’s a toilet on the east of the lake (sites 1-11). It seems to have a shower block on the west of the lake, but it’s closed (maybe only open in high season?).
No swimming, as there are alligators. No T-Mobile phone reception, although there’s a cell tower right there (maybe AT&T?)
You can book online or with self checking onsite (only 3 tents today on this weekend).
But imo at 24$ it’s too expensive...

Great location, with incredible internet. It's a pay campground
