Spent the night parked right by the church in the tiny town of Dzibilchaltun. I was visiting the ruins there early for the equinox sunrise, and the guard at the ruins suggested parking here in town for the night before. No facilities, no wifi, good Telcel 4G. It’s only about 1/2 mile to the entrance of the ruins (which have an excellent cenote, too). Free.

Report Check-Inclose to the highway but quiet at night, ended up here after getting permission to stay in the car park at the ruins & then being told to leave at closing time. Ruins very expensive, $500 for 2 people & museum & restaurant closed!
Report Check-Ingood and quiet spot with playground for kids next to charming church, near ruins that are now 225$ per adult and 75$ per children for foreigners. Parking lot is 25$ for vans
Report Check-InWe parked by the church just next to the public toilet. It was a really cozy spot and relatively quiet. Some locals looked a us a but funny (not sure they have seen a pop-top kombi before), but they never said anything or made us feel unwelcome. A pack of 5-6 street dogs hung out around our car but were all friendly.
The toilets worked but the straw roof had caved in so there was a lot of dirt on the floors and in the cubicles. The water was running though and flushed fine. No wifi, but good 4G.
Report Check-InDidn’t camp here, but the ruins are def worth a visit. You can even swim in the cenote with extremely clear water and waterlillies!
