Nice campground on the river. Sites aren't too close but not many trees. Canyon provides plenty of shade in the morning and evening. Road noise during the day but quiet at night. $20 a night.

14 decently spaced campsites along the Colorado. Some spots have more shade than others. All have a picnic table and fire pit. Arrived mid-day on Sunday and there were 2 spots left, both with little shade. As I was about to park in one, someone was pulling out of an unclaimed shadier site (they just stopped for lunch) so I snagged that spot. It was a 90 degree day so I was grateful. Nice to sit by the river under a tree and listen to the birds and the water. The remaining spots were taken fairly soon after. All through the afternoon, people were pulling in looking unsuccessfully for a site. I felt lucky to get this one (#11) and just chill for the afternoon after three days of driving the camper van. Cost $20, $10 for seniors. Fair traffic noise during the day, should quiet down at night.
Report Check-InNice view with about 14 lots, here on a Saturday, a lot of young groups of kids for a noisy night, suggest doing during the week. Sits right by the river.
Report Check-InNice place but no shade. Lots of vehicle traffic and a bus tour was lighting up the rock face.
Report Check-InNice place but get here early. We got there on a Tuesday at 4:00 pm and there was only one spot.
Report Check-In$20 / night self pay. Pit toilets. No cell service (Verizon). Beautiful views
Report Check-InBig sites, along Colorado River. Inside a canyon so don’t see big sky but there are small trees for shade. Some road noice.

Report Check-Innice location and arriving early in the afternoon there were still spots available as people were leaving on Sunday.
goose island was already full.
price is now $20, not cheap for just a basic campsite, but I guess it's the location
