Latest Check-Ins

Nice upscale looking hotel, although we didn't see the rooms with a large open lot for camping. Although the camping area was visible from the road it had a locked gate and the walls were at least 8 feet high. They are continuing to build more facilities, with a kitchen soon to come and additional shade cover. We had a quiet night. Showers were hot and the facilities were very clean. Friendly owner. Dog friendly but many burrs in the grass, however they were easy to remove. Good wifi, electricity for 5 Sol extra.

Dear overlanders.
It is unfortunate what happened about the theft in our camping site, it was really the first and only time that this happened. For our part, we are implementing greater security in the area, with more useful cameras. And also we have the duty to suggest that you be more cautious as travelers, because as is the case all over the world, travelers with motor homes or sophisticated cars are targets of assailants looking to steal parts of cars and / or valuables.
And what has also surprised us is how it was possible that the owners of the van, who were sleeping inside the car, have not heard or felt anything when the thieves were extracting their window!. Well, anyway We have shown solidarity toward our affected guests (a couple). We accompany them to put the complaint in the police, we ask them the estimated total value of their stolen objects, we trust their word and we compensate them with a large amount of money (there are other campingsite that never get to compensate anything to their guests).

We have always strived to keep all our services very clean, take care, guide and inform our guests about Puno, Peru.
On the use of electricity, they can charge their cell phones or laptops in our Reception for free. And if they wish to have electricity directly in their car with a cable, the extra cost is S / .5, but it does not include the connection of high electrical consumption appliances such as: heating, electric stove, electric kettle, dishwasher, etc. But if you need to use these high-power electrical appliances, you can do so, but the cost will not be S / .5; their electric consumption will be measured during their stay, and according to their consumption will be charged the cost.

Best regards.
The administration of this camping site

We were ROBBED in this campsite at night while sleeping in our van. They were looking for "car memory" (electronic part of the car) but ended up with our two backpacks. The campsite has a couple of bad cameras with no use at night, has no 24h desk or even a dog. Your car is observed from the street. Overall looks safe but might that not trick you. The owner was very helpful tho going with us to the police and compensating like 30% of our losses, but this cannot return my local ID which has been stolen, so my americas trip ends half way... Cannot recommend..

Overlanders were robbed here! The night before we arrived a couple was robbed while they slept in their van. The thieves broke in through the window of the locked van and stole bags and valuables. The walls around the place are low and you can see the parked cars through the fence from the road. Although there are security cameras, nothing was caught on tape. It's very surprising because the area seems very calm and safe. Be careful!

Besides that, in our opinion, this place was not a great value (especially after camping a few days in Puno at Pacha Confort). We have an outdoor cooking set-up and it was too windy to cook on our gas stove. We found out that the extra 5 soles for electricity did not include the use of our tiny electric hot plate (even just to heat water). It's just for charging phones at the only outlet near the shower..  which we didn't need. Also for this price some TP in the bathroom could be nice. Showers were hot, at least!

Well, the camping is more a construction site at the moment. But when it’s done, i think it’ll be pretty nice. Showers and toilets are very clean! There is potable water directly from the tab and you have WiFi-signal in your car.
37sol for a car and 2 people per night. Electricity costs 5sol extra.

We stayed one night here to be able to visit the Uros Islands. We looked at many of the options in Puno and found the city to feel unsafe.

We had the best shower of our trip here. The water is hot and the pressure is perfect. There is a bathroom (bring your own TP) and a sink for washing dishes or clothes. They said the water is potable, but we didn’t drink it.

The area to camp is not all that nice, but it appears they are working on this.

The couple running this place is so sweet. Maria helped us book a tour of the Uros Islands which was slightly more than the cost of just showing up at the port, but we liked knowing we had a reservation. The tour company they use was awesome (Suri is the name of the tour company - Hector was our captain and Freddy was our guide - awesome!) and we had a blast. Maria even walked us to the road to catch a collectivo and she made sure they knew where to take us. This little gesture made our experience memorable.

We highly recommend staying here. Price is still $37 soles total for the car, 2 people and a dog.

(WiFi is not great).

great place. The woman who runs it is so nice we started calling her "mama". we camped for 4 nights and on the 5th it was raining so hard she insisted we take a room at no extra cost. She even boiled water for us in the morning. 🤙

Bit of a building site at the moment, and the camping area is just a courtyard with a bunch of stone thrown down. Not a place to hang out for fine for a secure and quiet overnight stop.

Good and safe option to visit Puno & the lake of Titicaca. Lot of space in the backyard. Hot showers, clean baños. 37PEN (2 persons & a camper). 20 minutes with the minibus to the centre - 1.5 PENpp.
Very nice and helpful owners. You can also book tours here.

Place is ok. Price is definitely too high. 40PEN just for parking on muddy gravel ? I have seen better and more reasonable places in Peru ... OK just for Overnight, having a hot shower and do some internet stuff. Initially planned to stay longer due to rain seasons but left after 24 hours ...

They recently installed rocks over the grass parking since it would get pretty muddy. Room for 6 at least. Solar shower (cool/cold in the morning). Helpful manager, sink facilities.
Good stop before exiting Peru, similar to entering the country.

Great place to stay outside of Puno. Very friendly owners and the price is right, 46 soles for two adults, two kids and our van. Decent wifi, best we’ve had since travelling through Bolivia. Very hot showers and super clean.

great place to stay. very quite. shower is hot and has pressure!!! 37 soles for two people. very clean bathrooms. the lady can also organise tours for you..nuce place!!

Beautyfull tranquillo place
Grassy field, hot shower, very friendly lady...I guess mutch better then to stay in Puno...
Near ruins and cracy rockformations...

hot shower,fast internet,all you need...

We payd 37 soles / 2pers. 1 camper

very nice grassy spot
Good internet ,hot shower, very friendly old lady...Near ruins and cracy rock formations...I guess much better then to stay in Puno

Nice spot in the garden of the hostal to stay and organize your stuff for the boarder crossing to Bolivia. Nice staff. Restrooms are clean. We payed 37 Soles per car per night.

Quiet no-hassle spot. Hot showers, effective wifi. 37s per vehicle. But sorta far out of Puno. Yard could probably fit 3-4 vans. Our truck camper and one can didn't leave much more room.

Endroit très calme à 15mn du centre de Puno en bus. Sanitaire très propre eau chaude et très bonne Wifi. 37s pour un CC et 2 personnes.

Excellent place near to dirty puno. we are in our caraban we paid 11usd per nigth

Very peaceful and clean spot. Friendly owners and hot showers and Easy to hop onto a 1.5 sol collectivo across the street to the centro. 37 soles to camp.

Great place to stop at. We were travelling 2 up on our bike and stopped here. We were quoted 25s to camp or 35s for the "Simple" room...... it was great, nice solid, warm bed, couch, table chair etc not within the Hotel Complex next to the camping/ parking area...... it was great and for 10s extra saved us from having to set the tent up. 10 minutes into Puno and lovely and quiet..... recommended

Great place with very friendly owner. She even brought us dinner one night! Hot showers, level parking, wifi & dishwashing sink. Collectivos to Puno from main road cost 1.5 soles pp. and bring you within 5 minutes walking to plaza de armas. Collectivos back to this camp are located near the lake at the collectivo station (added to iOverlander). Look for the collectivos to Chucuito and ask for Hotel Casa Blanca near Ichu. 37/vehicle. Recommended.

Much nicer place to chill than Puno, and you can explore up in the valley and hills behind. Shower is solar so late afternoon is ideal - morning, not so much. Lovely lady. Wifi was best in the evening and surprisingly fast !!

Really nice owners, who offered a lunch for free.
Clean bathrooms and a very quiet night.
Internet is good. Couldn't ask for more.
Great place.

Very friendly owner and hot shower! Basic parkinglot but a good place to stop before or after crossing the border.

good place with clean toilets. shower is hot but does not have the largest amount of water. WiFi is ok. price is 37 sol per car so pretty expensive when you are alone. connecting to electricity was not possible. they would charge your phone/camera at the reception.

This place is really lovely. Hot showers, a sink to do dishes and very fast wifi. We needed to get visas for Bolivia and it was a very easy process in Puno. We then headed to the border after a day of rest and had no issues. We are so glad that we got the visas ahead of time.

really nice place, clean bathroom and useful shower, 37 Soles for 2 p and a van. we filled up the water and we are fine, the owner was really friendly and the WiFi incredible(compare to Bolivia)

Nice place near Puno and Lake Titicaca. There is also a small hike (4 km) you can do. Paid 37 Soles for 2 in a small van. Clean bathrooms, hot shower.

Camping is in the gated garden of the hotel. Room for two or thee vans. Hot shower, very fast wifi.

Nice and easy staying. Also for Big Rigs like us.

For me one of the best hot Shower in Southamerica so far, with constant hot Water!!
40 Soles per Night for teo and BigRig
Smaler Campers are cheaper.

Matrimonial room for 35 usd with simple breakfast. We decided not to camp because it was to cold and windy at night. Very clean.

Nice place to stay
37S the night ( 2 people and 1 van)
Hot solar showers included in the price
very nice staff

Now 40 soles (or still $11). Take credit cards

Really nice spot. Super friendly people, hot shower, clean bathroom and a good spot to stay before or after crossing the border. Wifi was good too. Recommended

Great place, very clean restrooms and showers. Water was hot most of the time but if solar is not up to snuff and you tell the owner she can make it hotter. Good WiFi. Electricity is problematic. You may be able to negotiate some connectivity but the infrastructure of the hotel is not equipped to handle big loads. She was kind enough to allow me to hook up and charge my batteries but then insisted I unhook after a couple of days. For the time I was connected she charged me 10 soles per day and I was happy to pay.

She brought hot tea to my friend who was suffering from altitude sickness and was very friendly and inviting. Very secure location, unfortunately only room for about 3 overland vehicles at a time. Another overlander parked beside the hotel on the road and was not charged.

Little vans run up the highway to Puno for 2 soles 50 centavos to the center of town. Just go to end of the road and put you hand out and they will stop. Taxi to the city is about 20 soles, used taxis to return as it is confusing where and which combi to catch for the return.

everything cost money even the showers cost 5dollar
to expensive
she likes your money

Nice place with nice owners. place for 3 or 4 vehicle. No problem for big rigs (we are 8 m long, 3.80 m hight and 2.50m large and we have no problems). Pets are welcome but take care of the cat (he doesn't like dogs). We paid 37 soles for our RV 2 adults and our 11 years old kid. Water available for free, and power for 10 soles per day. Hot shower. Good wifi. A very nice spot before going to Bolivia.

Very nice Hostal. Karin, the young Perivian manager, is really helpfull with extra information. We paid $50 for a room for 4 persons incluiding breakfast and hot water jar for the cold night. Te hot solar showers are very welcome too.

Great place for a night. Friendly owners. Still 37sol per night. We used a shower in the hotel, as the solar wasn't hot. Can buy water and basic essentials here. Meals available. Electricity for charging a phone or tablet is free, but you pay extra to hook up your rig.

Nice spot for camping. Still 37 soles (11 USD) for a car and two people, additional persons cost 1.50 USD, electricity 5 USD. Breakfast (Continental/Peruvian) costs 6/7 soles. Very clean facilities and very nice family who runs the place who make it worth the high price. Shower is solar heated so better shower in the evening.

Good location to stay near Puno. Very quiet. Fast WiFi. Big rigs: it's tight, but doable. Not much space inside.

super friendly owners, HOT showers, good wifi. stayed a full week!
11 us for camping (1 car 2 persons).
clean facilities.
we felt at home there. recommended!

Great fast wifi and super showers. Very peaceful. A nice experience for our first night in Peru after 6 weeks in bolivia. we paid 37 soles for 2 people but if you need electric its 5US$ more.

42 Sol for 3 persons.

37 Soles per night. Very nice and clean facilities. Good wifi. Small parking area, so can get crowded, if you are not alone. Very nice and caring owner.

Yes, friendly, quiet, and save place. We used it as a base to visit the Uros and hike to the Inca Tunuhuiri ruins. Entrance for big rigs is ample, but the yard is tight.

Camping at the courtyard of the hotel with toilets, hot shower and wifi. Electricity charged separately (USD 5!!!). PEN 37 (2 adults, camper). Extremely friendly and caring staff.

What the others say... Great place.

They advertise a single room (including breakfast) for $30 but have cheaper solutions as well. Cheapest is 30 soles for room with shared bathroom and no breakfast. Dinner is 10 soles.

Very good place to stay in Puno before border crossing. Very friendly owners. Inside place to eat. Hot showers (outdoor ish though) and fast wifi.

The lady is wonderful!! Come here and feel highly welcome! Clean bathroom and hot hot showers!

Perfect place to stay. To reache Puno you can take the collectivo (1.5 Soles p.p) or a taxi (5.- Soles p.p.). To the city center it takes only 15-20 minutes.

Hot and clean showers, very fast wifi and super friendly owners.

Nice place, friendly owners, clean showers, fast WiFi, colectivo to Puno S/1.50. S/37 for camping.

Very nice place run by a very nice and friendly family. Fast WiFi! Secure parking. Very clean and Hot Showers. We slept in the car for 11U$D a night and got invited to Peruvian food and breakfast. Very much recommended!

Published price now $10 per vehicle excl elec. Charged us 25s as they had no wifi. Nice grassy yard, good stop.

we stayed 2 nights with our RV. Very nice staff. we had shower, power and good internet. We paid 35 soles p/p plus 5 soles p/n for power. There is only limited space for RV's. They booked a 2 island tour for us for 30 soles p/p, and drove us for 15 soles into town. :-))

A gated parking lot of a roadside hotel. Fits maybe 4-5 rigs. Internet was mega slow but they're working on fixing it. Nice owners. They have a cat, but dogs are ok. Lots of small ticks in the fields around the property.

Nice and secured place near Puno.15 min with a collectivo to reach Puno (stop at 800 m of the port).Hot clean showers, friendly welcome from the owner. A pkace to recommend if you wish to visit the island without any issue to your vehicle. We negociated 25NS per night.

Nice place, easy access, clean and quiet. Not far from Puno with collectivo. Good Wi-Fi. Two nights for 50 soles, sleep in RV.

Fantastic place to pull in for the night The lady here is so helpful, gave us some veggies, made us some traditional Quinoa drink in the morning took us on a tour very nice people, internet is fast!!

Nice hotel with extremely friendly owers but still all brand new with a lot of defaults. There where problems with the internet (we had none), problems with the hot water (it was off and on) etc... Price is way too high 35US or 105sol for a double room. In the end we talked down to 70sol. You could also sleep in the car for less, plenty of space.

This is one of this rare perfect places to stay...have full facilities, fast wifi, very safe and just 10min outside of Puno! Also the rooms are very nice and the owner are just lovely!!!

perfect place to stay. nice owner, good infrastructure, very fast internet, only limited place for cars. in high season you might have problems to stay here.
