Lugar maravilhoso! Espaço amplo de grama no estacionamento do bar. Tem água, luz, banheiro, chuveiro frio e wifi. A comida do bar também é deliciosa. Pet friendly. Fica na frente da praia. O wifi é muito bom para trabalhar. O preço ainda é 3.000 cólones por pessoa, por dia, o que é justo considerando os preços do país. Recomendamos MUITO!
_____

Wonderful place! Ample grass space in the bar's parking lot. It has water, electricity, bathroom, cold shower and wifi. The bar food is also delicious. Pet friendly. It is in front of the beach. The wifi is very good for working. The price is still 3,000 colones per person per day, which is fair considering the country's prices. We HIGHLY recommend it!

Report Check-In

Due to negative reports on this coast, we decided against standing free and spent two very pleasant nights here. With 3'000c/p cheap for Costa Rica. Very simple showers with cold water, clean toilets from the bar for shared use. In 20 minutes you can walk to the entrance of the Cahuita National Park - highly recommended!

Great place and best deal for only C3000.— per person! I parked in the garden on the gras so there were no people walking by to bus. Electricity at site and also a covert area to hang out. Toilets and showers. The beach is beautiful and not crowded, even on weekends. Perfect with dogs. Music was never too loud, really chill carribean vibes here. Friendly staff. I also enjoyed the life music on friday evening.

Report Check-In

No camping at the moment, because of problems with the showers.

Report Check-In

good place! 3.000C pP. super music, Friday live music and a DJ (until 0:30) Tuesday DJ. Very good food, big portions. stayed there 16 nights, 2 times. Monday, Wednesday & Friday Zumba 7:30 AM at the beach (2.000C). you can walk in town. Wifi very good, for upload also. music is never too loud. Beer 1500. Vegetarian Rice 3500. definitely can recommend this place, felt very safe. surfboard rental and lessons is the neighbor. perfect.

Report Check-In

very nice and good campsite, place for 5-6 camper and or tents, price fair

Report Check-In

Nice flat grassy parking. Clean toilets and ok shower. Good restaurant nice staff. 3000 CpP.

Report Check-In

Great place, we were there on a weekend and they had a party but we still slept good. The next night the other bar had a party and that seemed louder. $5pp good WiFi and okay shower. Okay toilet too but good access to a nice beach and just good vibes.

Report Check-In

Nice place and friendly owners. You can rent surf boards and surf just at the beach in front of the bar. Jummy food. Facilities are not the cleanest but okay. Quiet after 10. We paid 10USD for two nights.

Report Check-In

not really a campground. its a popular bar in town. good vibe. but not a campground. no space really for tent. car camping would be right in the small parking up with all the visitors vehicular. music is on all the time. and fridays are party night with dj till 230am. did not stay there.

Report Check-In

after a few days wild camping on the beach we reluctantly agreed to stay here for a night but were pleasantly surprised. I say reluctantly because we were worried about the noise from the music, but I thought they were pretty considerate with the loudness and it was turned off by 10 and wasn't turned on again until noon. it's a nice grassy area with direct access to the beach. the beach itself isn't very long in either direction but very nice and shallow water made it easy for the dogs to jump in and play. this place is dog friendly as they have 2 dogs themselves, plus a plethora of well fed street dogs and an ambitious cat. the food was very good and the cocktails were a 1000c less than anywhere else in this area of CR. the blackberry mojito was particularly good. super strong and fast wifi reached all of the way across the parking lot to or van and all of the way out to the beach. my only complaint is that the water from the tank on the roof that was used for the showers smelled foul. I told the guy that had helped us earlier in the day and he just shrugged his shoulders. sooo it was relaxing and accommodating, the whole point for us was too shower and fill up the water tank, which we didn't decide to do given the odor. they asked for 10 dollars, but if you pay in colones then they only ask for 6k.

Report Check-In

Slept here for a night in our 4x4. Paid 10$. It is not really a camping as you sleep on the grassy parking, which means there are lots of people who comes around. The bathroom is the one from the bar and is quite clean. The shower on the other hand is quite dirty and in the middle of a place where people come around quite a lot to fetch tools etc. No door, only a curtain that moves with the wind. Nothing to put your stuff on. It is also quite noisy since the bar puts loud music. You have very good wifi and a place where you can charge your electronically devices. If you cross the road you can go on the beach where they put some stuff (volleyball net, slack line, a swing) and you can also get surf lessons (don't remember the prices but it wasn't expensive).

Report Check-In

We stayed for one night and paid 10 USD for two persons. A littlebit expensive for what you get. The toilet was clean and you get a outdoor shower. We were part of the friday night BBQ and live music. That was very funny, good food and loud music until 12 pm.

Report Check-In

great place beautiful beach very accommodating of large RVs. relaxing and stress-free place to set up. name is Reggae not Reggea

Report Check-In

Chill vibe.
The price for camping has gone up to 3000 colones pppn.
The showers have curtails again. The toilet is closed at night.

Report Check-In

Nice place! We stayed here with another van for one night. They let us have dinner and stay for free. When we were pulling out one of the sons rode up next to us in a bike and showed us where a sloth was really low in an almond tree. Really nice people. Cahuita is pretty amazing for wildlife. Definitely worth a visit.

Report Check-In

In the meantime, its 6'000 Col for a motorhome with 2 people. Quiet place (Corona). Good cocktails and food at the Reggae Bar.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for two nights with a 24 feet. Very pleasant place, friendly staff, not bryant during the week, ideal for visiting the Park. Located a few meters from the ocean. We paid 5,200 colons for the two of us.

Report Check-In

We came here around 5pm and the lady of the place was very friendly. She helpt us where was the best place to stay on the field. Helpful and friendly people. The food is also good and not expensive. We paid for a tent with 2 persons for 1 night 5000c total.

Report Check-In

Were staying one week by the cover gasibo.
Safe.
Friendly staff.
Like the place

Report Check-In

on dort sur le parking du restaurant, donc bcp de passage tout le temps, et la musique est très forte contrairement au message précédent et tard le soir. pour la tranquillité à éviter. pour de l animation et boire des verres c est cool.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay a couple nights. 2500 c per person. That includes power. Bathrooms and showers are just Ok. It’s open everyday from 12pm to 10 pm . Music all day but didn’t bother us. We stayed in low season and just another traveler there so very quite. Food and beer are cheaper than Puerto Viejo. Beach is just 10m away. They also rent cabinas but don’t know price. Pura Vida!

Report Check-In

This place was brilliant! One of the few bars we found with some atmosphere on the carribean coast in the wet season. Charged us 2000 colones pp to camp which is much cheaper than other places. Facilities are very basic (shower missing a curtain, sink tap broken) but usable. 15 mins walk to Cahuita park. Food at bar good, beer cold.

Report Check-In

LOVED this spot. Super nice place to hang out. The bar always plays good music and it's not too loud. Live reggae bands most Friday nights. Shower and toilets were fine. Fast Wifi. Beautiful beach across the road. And best of all you are camping on beautiful lush grass. NO SAND FOR ONCE!! We checked out pretty much every spot that was listed on ioverlander, and this was by far the best in cahuita. About a 15 min walk into town where there are a few supermarkets and the national park which has super clear and clean water and it's a donation based entry!! Not $15 each for once. This place is a slice of paradise on earth. Look for sloths and monkeys in the trees above. we paid $1500pppn in low season.

Report Check-In

Stopped. No shade. A little crowded so we didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay!! 2000 C/van.

Everything as described, nice beach, very nice people and relaxed atmosphere!

We didn't feel disturbed by the music, which was actually very nice and not loud at all during the week, at weekend evenings louder, but still easy to sleep next to the bar.

Watch out for the sloth crawling around in the electricity cables near the bar! We saw it often there moving and chilling :)

Enjoy!

Report Check-In

great spot to chill near a beautiful beach. has a pavillon you can use with power plugs and fast WIFI. Really cool in rainy season.
place has showers, they are not at the toilets, but on the other side of the building.
only bad thing: toilets didnt flush during night, which is OK, but they were usually dirty
paid 2000 colones per camper with two people
stayed 5 nights

Report Check-In

Bathrooms in bar had water turned off over night. If there were others or places to shower we couldn’t find and were not shown. Restaurant had good food. Music extremely loud until after midnight.

Report Check-In

4$/p/n. Safe place and chill vibes. Reggae everyday. Beach across the street and surf. We stayed here like a week, no problem.
Drinks at the bar are good. There was a BBQ night and live music on friday, really good grilled chicken and shrimps, good cuban music. Very quiet in morning, and late - not so late music didn’t bothered us ..

Report Check-In

nice grass field across the beach. restaurant with ok food.
electricity at sites if you have 30m cable. good wifi. friendly people... recommended!

Report Check-In

Well, we're here and they are taking overlanders. perfect place to enjoy the heat and humidity.

Report Check-In

No longer permission to camp in this site

Report Check-In

We stopped for the night. The music was good and stopped at 11. The rest of the night was quiet. The only downside was the 2 street lamps that made the whole night bright as day. Restrooms, shower and wifi were all good. 3000col pp for adults and 1000 for the kids.

Report Check-In

Everybody paid 2000col which is finally expensive for parking only. Showers are simple. Bathrooms in the bar nearby.
Some noise late...

Report Check-In

They charged us $3pp and this seems like the best semi secure spot for any size vehicle in the entire area. They have nice bathrooms and decent cold showers. You can use electricity if you're parked close enough. Staff were all quite friendly they didn't mind our dog and even fed her. You can walk to the national park in 20 minutes or so but it's a nice walk. We checked maybe 10 spots in the area and liked here the most. Theres a big hardware store and a Pali on the main road nearby and a small shop just next to the reggae bar if you need supplies

Report Check-In

We ended spending 4 nights there due to poor meteo. Paid 2000C pppn for our campervan. Wifi, palapas, market, restaurante, showers. In front of the beach. Definitely the best camping option in Cahuita

Report Check-In

Paid 2,000 c each, including the 4 yo. Great place, wanted to stay longer. Good bathrooms in the restaurant, cold showers, tienda on site, great beach looking right out from camping area. Weekend live bands don't play too late into the night, friendly family and friends around.

Report Check-In

2000 per night for tent, 500 extra for electricity. nice spot, showers smell a little like eggs, bathroom is in the bar so its clean. friendly people.

Report Check-In

BE AWARE - THEIFS IN AREA.
During our first night, someone stole my friends motorcycle jacket. It was lying right underneath his hammock just a few feet below while he was sleeping. Have not heard any other stories, but there is always a lot of people hanging around there during late night.

Anyway, we stayed for an additional three nights as the beach is nice and the national park in town is a must see. Toilets are missing both seats and paper, WiFi is decent.

It's OK for the price.

Report Check-In

We went to bar first and they sent us to mini market to check in. Charged us 2500C pp with power. Girl told us to park anywhere on grass so we did. We plugged into the socket in the palapa next to the swing set. Then woman who runs store asked us to park perpendicular to fence instead of parallel. So we moved THEN the bartender told us to park further into the property as where we were parked was the parking lot for bar so be sure you understand where to park. We ended next to playground. Wifi reached site though and at times was fast but other times crapped out. Banos usually have TP but no seats. Good movistar reception. Showers are okay. Music from bar not loud enough to bother us. We stayed a week.

Report Check-In

We actually did not stay here we just took a look around. You can park on a grassy area between the bar and mini market. If you need electricity you have to park quite near the bar as there is the plug in. They have two basic showers and bathrooms can be used from the bar. Without electricity its 2000 colones pp without its 2500 colones pp.

Report Check-In

We really enjoyed our 2 night here. Beach was super nice, right across the road.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay, friendly staff, fast wifi, they have a restaurant but we didn't eat there. They also have a mini market next door. Nice grassy field to park or tent. They had cool Kalisto music at night that lasted until midnight or so. After that everything pretty quiet. Shower just as previously mentioned . Clean restrooms
