Unfortunately someone (probably the owner of the land) decided that he will not allow people driving up there, as a few meters from the road it is blocked with rocks and barbed wire. We did drove the few meters in to have lunch here.
Report Check-InWe stopped for the night. It really is a calm place. There is just one house at the road where you turn to this spacious spot. No people, no noise from the road and a flat area. We had a beautiful clear sky full of stars.
Report Check-InAwesome spot for a night as described. Follow the gravel turn off from the road and at the end there is a large flat-ish spot well hidden from the road. Leveling blocks already available from previous travellers. Only downside was that we had a ton of flies. Quiet, free.
Report Check-Instill a very good place to sleep, if you do not want to be higher. the pe n3 is very good so we came from the antamina mine here and retour to go to the pastouri glaciar. no infrastructure, no internet reception, just nature and calmness.
Report Check-Inwe arrived at 3 PM and left at 9 AM. not a soul and really not a sound. it was very peaceful. not visible from highway at all. highly recommend for a break after driving mine road. we have a truck camper (pop up). Happy trails!
Report Check-InIf you are looking for some place for night which is not more than 4.000 altitude, (like us) this spot is perfect.
Here is lowest altitude in Ruta P3EN, on this part of way.
Way from Conochocha (where we bought local cheese) - just take your left side and there is a smaller road, but in pretty good condition. Than just go on and after 100 m choose place. We spend night on half grassy/half ripio area.
Not visible from road, calm place, nobody here. If you want, you can make fire here and enjoy night under amazing hills. ⭐️
