Latest Check-Ins

Good spot for an overnight camp, off the road and private. Pretty overgrown at the moment, so keep an eye out for the track. Gravel pit is about 150m off the main road. Track is a little bumpy but our big truck got through with no issues.

Report Check-In

Nice spot to break up that long drive. Always available. Not much shade, and it quickly gets very hot in the morning at this time of year.

Report Check-In

Easy access to site and we'll hidden. We made sure not one was around when we turned off. Had no issues

Report Check-In

Easy access and no one disturbing. Good place for a night on the road

Report Check-In

Perfect peacefull place
Easy to find and easy to access. We had a great night here.

Report Check-In

Not hard to find, if you follow your GPS and look when you need to turn you will see the faint wheel tracks. Plenty of room once you get into the quarry.

Report Check-In

the access from N1 is a bit overgrown, but if you check a Satelite view you will find it. We did not use 4x4, easy hard gravelroad (covered in high grass).

Report Check-In

Perfect spot to spend the night on your way north or south.
secludedfrom the road with no one there. had good nice quiet night.
About the entrance path:

for 4x4- engage offroad mode, lock all diffs, lower tirepressure.

all others- just drive normal.

there is nothing wrong with this place and its even suitable for big rigs.

Report Check-In

NOT ACCESSIBLE ANYMORE. 20 METERS OFF THE ROAD IS A NEW GULLY THAT HAS BEEN DUG.

NOT EVEN A 4X4 WILL CROSS HERE

Report Check-In

good place without interference
well-accessible, gravel

Report Check-In

Happy to be here finally. After a long day drive. We hoped it is ok for us (big rig) and it was. We always looked for alternatives on the long way here from the border, but there was nearly nothing. Just some foot paths and small villages, so this is a perfect possibility on the way to the ocean and south.

Report Check-In

One of the nicer gravel pits we've stayed in. :) You can here the road but you can't be seen. 5 bars, slow working 2G Vodacom signal. Suitable for any kind of rig.

Report Check-In

still a good place for a night. Also possible dir big riggs. Best is to go to the very end of the quarrel.

Report Check-In

Just off road, looks unused for a while. Can hear traffic on road, can not be seen. Track in is just two tire tracks through long grass, it's good gravel with no surprises so no worries. Perfect for a night or two
