No Overnight parking signs where there. Maybe put up recently?

Sand lot was rough and showed where people had gotten stuck so we parked on the street. got the knock from the police shortly thereafter. just wanted to make sure we didn't have warrants out. slept peacefully.

Called into the visitor centre and was advised that parking is free all over the island. What a find a quiet spot 30 steps to the beach. Public toilets there. And rubbish bins ( pls leave site as you found it). Go for it 😀🇦🇺
