end of a road not on mapsme, take the right when going down to yampupata, near the first houses, on the way to the antenna. big flat space, nobody around. great view on Isla de la Luna. the best we found north of Copacabana.

A beautiful place!!!
Completely away from the tourist area, you have 2 viewpoints available to park.
You can go down to the square in front of the viewpoints, no one ever arrives.
The area is safe and sometimes shepherds with very friendly sheep pass by.
Definitely worth the drive for a peaceful night of sleep. Sunrise in the morning is spectacular.
Report Check-Inone of the most beautiful wild camps in bolivia for us! :-) friendly farmers, perfect view and NO trash! what a wonderful time to relax! :-)
just follow the road to the end (mapsme wanted us to turn right at one moment which was nonsense)
Great spot alone facing island of moon. To find it keep going on the road maps me brings you and continue on the same road you will go on the other way of the mountain up to a rather flat area at the end of the road
Report Check-InWe loved this spot. Very quiet with fantastic view on Isla de la Luna. Some farmers came by and wanted to see our campervan. Windy and cold after sunset.
Report Check-InWe didn't go all the way to the end, instead we camp in the side of the road on the last turn to it, we loved the place and the view! Really quiet, safe and remote.. Totally recommended to stay in Copacabana if you want to be alone and enjoying the silence. The beach is just minutes from there, you would see the trail at the end of the road. Friendly locals go there to feed their animals. Spend 2 nights there, amazing views!
Report Check-Invery nice spot. absolutely quiet.
we stayed 2 nights and only once a sheep herder passed by.
a part from the lovely views, there are several Incan paths around.
for us the best was a well marked path heading down to a beautiful “private” beach on the lake. great for a bath/swim. the water is cristal clear and blue. you have to walk 700m (altitude descent of 150m aprox).
the other paths can take you all the way to Yampupata with nice views on the other side (Isla del Sol).
COMBO : go to Isla del sol in the afternoon in a little boat, when go back buy fresh pescado, go back a little to pick up son eucalyptus wood, and go up to this spot to grill your fresh pescado. Nice view of far snow Andes and Lago titicaca.
Report Check-InGood place to camp. Quiet and nobody around except a sheep herder. Good view of isla del luna and the lake.
Report Check-InGreat spot! Remote enough and withe a superb view!
The road leading there is quite narrow. Might be not applicable to big rigs. Weak GSM signal E.
