Description

wesome little town of San Jose Del Pacifico. Good stop over on the way to the coast from Oaxaca. Lots of options for cabañas and hostels in town. Coffee shop at the end of the driveway with good wifi for $10mx an hour. Pets allowed. Hot water. TV. Fireplace with wood included. Amazing views of the mountains. Very friendly owners. $500mx a night for private cabaña. $100mx a night for hotel room. Didn't ask about setting up the camper in the parking lot but seems like a possibility.

We stayed here for five nights whilst our van was being repaired. The first three nights we paid 400 pesos per night for a private room. We then paid 500 pesos per night for the last two nights in a slightly nicer private room.

The owner was really great to deal with, and let us park and stay in our van for free for a night once it was repaired (so we didn’t have to drive through the night).

Like others have stated, place is overpriced and one of the staff is quite rude and has an attitude.

Cabanas are ok. Dirty and run down, little hot water, and the bathroom was in disrepair and dirty. Overall not at all worth the 600pesos a night.

Try the place up the road, Refugio Terraza. Amazing place, local farm and restaurant, clean, friendly, and reasonable prices.

I can not agree with other comments about friendly owners. We didn’t feel welcome. We asked if we can sleep in our van since we want to stay just one night and use just the facilities but we were not allowed. We paid 200p for a room with shared shower/toilet. In the morning we met other travelers who were allowed to sleep in their camper. Since we joined Pacos temazcal the next morning we bargained to have a shower after midday and let the van parked for a little longer, it was hard to get what we wanted because he wants to charge us for parking. Not flexible at all and not friendly :(

Alright place... Water not always hot... Electricity went of a few times... Very noisy - you will here every little footstep and likewise things... The once above are better... Try to speak to the young guy that runs the place... he is always with his white Volkswagen... His father will charge you like double and from my point of view is very racist against foreigners... Had some wired experiences with this man... We paid 250 vor the once in the second floor... 150 is the price above...

There are cabanas at the back of the little road and just at the beginning of the street there are 4 rooms (2 upper, 250 pesos, two lower 150 pesos). We could take our two motos in the lower room. great!

Place as described. The views are really beautiful and it is a safe town. The owners are friendly but charging more now. They asked 600 for a private cabaña, we talked them down to 500. Nice stopover full of hiking an views between Oaxaca and the beach!

Ok to pass the night in exchange of a dinner at the restaurant. We have a 26 feet motorhome and there was enough space in the parking lot. There is a nice cafe with wifi (10 pesos for 1 hour) right next to the restaurant.

Good value for money, we got a cabana with view and fireplace for 450p per night (low season and negotiated down from 500). Clean, hot shower, friendly owner (he even proposed us magic mushrooms haha). We recommend!

Upstairs cabanas ($350) nicer than downstairs ones ($250). We are traveling in a group so rented 1 cabana and we slept in our Westy in the parking lot for free. Flat area for parking but the town is a transport hub so lots of truck traffic and noise. Coming from the coast and the temperature difference is stark. Cute town.

250 for cabanas. Clean and in middle of town. We really like San Jose
