Street parking in Chicago. Grove Street has no parking limits. We stayed 2 nights here and felt safe, but this is something you have to decide for yourself. There are streetlights. It is opposite an abandoned warehouse. 2 semi trucks were also there. It is only 700m to chinatown station (trains operating 24/7). Public Library Chinatown has fast internet. It isn't a quiet or beautiful place but it is free and close to everything. It probably won't be here forever as there is advertising for the warehouse. It seems like it will be renovated in the near future.
There is also free parking on 16th street across the river. Don't know how the bridge clearances are to get there, we stayed here in a class C RV.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
walking distance to china town..train isn't bad at all. I parked next to the union building
Report Check-InBe careful there. We stayed for one night and everything seemed to be okay. Next day we saw some drug addicts. It felt as if they oberved us. Although we have two German Shephards we decided to leave this place.
A nice guy stopped his car. He is working near this place. He gave us the advice to leave because he saw the drug addicts were observing us. This place is known for some problems.
We won't go there anymore.
we stay two nights without problem. not a beautiful place but close to downtown.
Report Check-InStayed two nights. Looks a little unsavory but really ok. Walk to Chinatown the bus and metro.
