Description

**Private Property

Wonderful spot in the bush! Far enough to only hear the faintest sounds of traffic in the distance. It’s one big cleared area with a handmade fire pit in the middle. There are a lot of bones lying around and not much wood if you don’t have a chainsaw.
This place is just outside of Hinton, and about 45 minutes from Jasper, just on the outskirts of the National Park. lol

Latest Check-Ins

Set up for the weekend, close enough from home but yet far enough.

Report Check-In

We slept here last night. We had to go up the dirt road because somwone was in this spot. Looks like there is a development being built here so I am not sure how long this site will be valid. It was nothing special however it was quiet besides a couple 4-wheelers at 9pm. Otherwise this was a good place for being far from the road. We did notice a lot of toilet paper in the bushes. Please have respect and pack it out.

Report Check-In

Off the main road the gps signal brings you to a spot with roads on both sides. We took a right turn and went about 100 yds to a spur road and about 100’ in is a nice spot with a campfire pit.

Report Check-In

The area gets busy during hunting season. Pets beware.

Report Check-In

it's a great location, the only problem was a black bear who came again and again after scaring him away several times. Had to leave at the 2nd day. Be careful!

Report Check-In

There was a camper already in the spot that the GPS coordinates takes you. We went in a little further-up the trail and made a left onto a dirt road that is slightly uphill (could get up in a car if you wanted to). Once up top there is a level camping spot where you can turn around if you’re in a smaller rig (<25’). It’s a dead end up here so nobody bothers you if you park your rig that people can see you before they attempt coming up the hill. We had slow internet and decent service up here (AT&T)

Report Check-In

Good place for a quick night stop. Very quiet may be 2 cars passed by whole night. We stayed in the outside clearing as forecast was of rain all night and it was good choice as it got muddy by morning. No problem from outside spot.

Report Check-In

It was raining when I arrived. I followed the road a bit more and found a trail entrance that is flat and not too muddy.
Very quite

If your vehicle permits it, there are more camping spots down the same trail.
Just turn off the highway at the airport road and you’ll see tons of little trails going into the woods. This place is just outside of Hinton, and about 45 minutes from Jasper, just on the outskirts of the National Park.
