Description
Nice place to stay in Mahahual. Thatched cabañas with fan and private bathroom for 450 per night (room is for two). The place has a private beach. Very well located a bit further south from all the tourist Mahahual, but within walking distance from it to go get dinner/groceries. This side of town is cooler with more breeze.
Has inside parking as well.
PS. Apparently some years all this coast is invaded by sea weeds that don’t make beach swimming nice. But the place is nice anyway to rest on the beach.

Report Check-InFriendly, basic, breezy place about ten minutes’ walk from the centre. Parking in the compound, outside the cabanas/rooms. Small thatched cabana with fan for one person, two at a squeeze, M$550, larger one with fan with two beds for M$900. AC rooms are M$1300. The beach at Mahahual is no picture postcard. They’ve put in inflatable blue booms about 50m offshore to keep the seaweed off. These days it’s more a cheap beach bar place and dive centre, “a little drinking town with a diving problem” as one sign puts it.
Report Check-InWe got a bungalow here on Booking.com for 520 a night (including taxes). Rooms are big with two double beds. It's an easy walk to town and away from the cruise ship crowds. Nice garden and beach. We've been hitting some rainy weather, and there was plenty of indoor space to hang up and dry out our camping gear.
Report Check-InGreat place with private beach and wifi. Also clean toilet and shower. 100 pp or less in lower season. We parked our combi vw cross the street. Or could camp on the beach side. Nice breaze.
Report Check-InVery nice place with cabanas, rooms, Campside and parking area also for small RV's ( Defender 110 with popup roof). Very clean and nice bathrooms and toilets. 100 Pesos p.p. a night. Beach direct across the street, at the moment a lot of seaweed. Quit area in short walking distance to main town. Beachbar with swings in the direct neighborhood.
