Something not right?

Description

Super windy. Strong water currents- be careful swimming. We went to do some surf fishing, not much luck. Speared a good size burrito grunt in a fissure over the rock shelf straight out in front if the lighthouse.

There is a fence around the lighthouse but people can still walk in there. You can park anywhere outside. We met one of the owners of the land and he told us this.

Very nice place and we were lucky enough to have 2 days with less wind: paddle board and snorkeling :). We saw many rays jumping! Very quiet, just a couple of other vans and locals during the day. Take the road to the right and not the left as indicated by Google Maps. You will go through de slat flats and it will be easier.

One of the dudes working the salt operation brandished his penis to a girl on the beach today.

otherwise this is an awesome spot!

Nice spot, with a picturesque lighthouse, safe, calm, and quiet. Turquoise water, great view, soft sand. We didn't park right next to the lighthouse but drove away to the left. There weren't many people at the time we came, just one other camper and some day visitors. There is a thrash bin and an ok Telcel signal.

The downside would be the wind, but in January whole Baja is super windy. Plus the plants surrounding the beach are kinda hostile - they do whatever they can to scratch you, pinch you and stick to your clothes. :D

The other thing is the amount of toilet paper lying around - people please, let's not do that. <3 Overall a nice stay for a few days.

Stayed on the bluff with a couple of other campers. Great beach, a few visitors during the day but very quiet at night, other than the sound of the waves. Passed a guard at the gate. Walked around the lighthouse. Strolled the beach, fabulous spot. Good reception with Telcel.

I stayed for one night with 3 other campers. Seems alright to camp there. We didn’t see any signs saying it’s prohibited.

The waves seems nice for kitesurf with a surfboard there.

No network with Telcel

You can camp OUTSIDE the lighthouse, beware of turtle nests…
You cannot enter to the lighthouse, it’s private property and it’s monitored… the security guards told us that, but it’s a very scenic place. (We actually entered and were asked to leave…)

Parked on the bluff to the left of the lighthouse. Gorgeous view, saw whales and stingrays. Quiet, very windy. Passed 2 guards on the way in, no issues.

Guard at gate happily let us in. We didn’t stay to camp but it would be a lovely although very windy spot. Clean and wide open beach.

This place is permanently closed.

Road in now guarded with boom gate. Not possible to reach.

Report Check-In

At the time we visited this place the beach was covered with trash and tire tracks and just beside the lighthouse there were the ugly ruins of an old concrete structure. Didn't stay.

Suuuuper windy. Nice spot. Very quiet.

We were west of the light house spending the day at the beach. Paradise. There were fishermen' cars and trailers ready for the late afternoon boat arrivals. A couple from Canada parked their RV up the hill to spend the night. Another couple from US showed up to pick up shells. Otherwise, this has been THE most pristine, gorgeous and quite beach I have ever been to in BCS. Waters seemed deep but so beautiful. You see Isla Cerralvo and the newly painted lighthouse to the right and a forever horizon.

- nice place but not much room
- we were almost alone during our stay

This is a well used sandy beach in front of a concrete lighthouse. It is well used by the locals, but enough space for everyone. You will drive in on a well maintained dirt road that crosses private property. The sand is VERY soft close to the water, but ok about 15 feet or so from the shoreline. If you head to the right of the lighthouse you will find more open space and level ground, just be sure to air down.
