Secluded and rustic. Stunning views and night sky. Love the dawn chorus.
Report Check-InVery nice place with fantastic views and we enjoyed the lovely pool. The price is 150 ppn Camping in your own car. Due to Covid you should inform Susanne in advance if you like to have dinner. Very good WIFI at the restaurant and pool.
Report Check-InOur first stay at Amber lagoon, didnt at first undestand the name, then saw the name of the boat, right on top of the hill. A helluva lot of work has gone into terracing a hill and creating sites with a lovely natural Karoo feeling. Nice level site, we stayed in our camper at R280 a night for 2 people.
Report Check-Inour second visit to this awesome spot. highly recommended. a quick 20min drive from oudtshoorn (large town with everything you'll need)
Report Check-InRecommend this little heaven. Alcohol is BYO. Paid R260 for 2 ppl, 1 tent, no electric over high season.
Report Check-InThis is our most favourite place to stay in the Little Karoo.Highly recommended! German owners built it in a very natural and also very beautiful way.Big rigs can park at the former schoolhouse. Smaller vans and tents can use the different areas uphill overlooking the surrounding mountains.
There are also dorms, tents and huts. Many plants and bushes plus shady terrasses. Big pool at the restaurant . Susanne and Kurt offer you fresh meals. But you can also use the common kitchen. On top of the hill there are huge sunbeds for watching the sunset. Prices start with 180 rand per campsite.
We love that place!
