Halfway between Titticaca and Tacna, it's 100m apart from the road at the end of a good gravel road and partly visible (on the way down on your right side). At night very few traffic and no one bothered us. In the evening you can enjoy a beautiful sunset and a great view. And there is a little stream for non potable water. Some farmers and road workers visible in the morning but seemed to be friendly.

Great spot to park outside of Tarata. A bit noisy next to the road but good spot to park outside of town. Few "gas stations" in town, pumped out of a barrel (gas and diesel).
