Description

Brand new campement with friendly owner: Louis Diatta, 00 221 77 316 4675, [email protected], www.campementlelemantin.wordpress.com. The campement is at a lovely spot right at the beach. Spotting dolphins and manatees at low tide. Rooms with (12.000 CFA) and without (6.000 CFA) private bathroom available; looking really nice and comfortable. For camping he apparently does not charge anything, but probably expects to spend something in the restaurant. We just passed by this spot, but thought it would be worthwhile to share this info on iOverlander!

Probably the most beautiful Sunset we had in Casamance !
The place is really chill and quiet. We stay in our 4x4, parked close by the Campement Lamentin. The place is free, the people will appreciate that in exchange you get some of their really delicious food (yassa poisson, shrimps couscous, ... / 5000 cfa pp). You also have a free access to toilets. Friendly local staff

Beautiful spot on the river. In a village setting. Set up camp outside the compound as no room for vehicles inside. Camped under the mango trees Very safe quiet spot. Use of toilets and bucket shower. Can spot dolphins virtually all day long and can spot manatees from the viewing tower. Good food and cold beer available. Very long sandy track to get there with some deep sand stretches. New dirt road under construction when we went there. They are not really set up for overland vehicles so hadn’t got a set charge. We suggested they start charging for camping as such a great spot and the owners were so helpful and accommodating.

Amazing. Quiet beach with lovely people and food. Rooms are spacious, clean and are equipped with mosquito nets. The place is new, and plumbing isn't finished yet so we had bucket showers. Day excursions are available and the tree climb was spectacular! It's possible to spot manatees and dolphins here. We were able to drive here with a fully loaded heavy bike and two people.
