Take the exit to Brenda mines, if you were heading eastbound cross under the highway. You'll see a groomed gravel road, follow that down as far as you need until you find your camping spot. Good for truck and tent campers. plenty of grassy spots. Head further from the highway to not hear the noise. Has cell reception for internet

There is now a sign saying no trespassers and authorised vehicles only at the Grate leaving the chain bay.

Hi all, we're back for our third time and would like to clear up some confusion. As you had towards Merritt from Kelowna, take the Brenda Mines chain up area exit. At the end turn right, the road will turn to gravel after the grate. If you want flat grass to pitch a tent follow the road a little further and pull off to the side, walk up the small hill on the right side and you'll find grass to pitch a tent. If you have a big rig follow the gravel road to the big clearing with a huge turn around. Plenty of flat spots there, but if winter is coming this is where the snow plows gather and turn around all night long. If you want the a very quiet spot, just before the clearing, the road forks to the left take that as far as you want. If you have maps.me offline maps, that will show you the roads, we like the one that goes almost to MacDonald creek. Highly recommended for the variety of spots available, we always pass through between Kelowna and Merritt.

Awesome spot right off the highway!! Found some flat ground, not too noisy, slept great. Some interesting sounds during the night... but not too fear, we woke up in the morning to find some wandering cows. Also some truckers. Good quick stop

Never found the place with grassy area. we slept for 1 night in the chain up area parking. ok for one quick night stop. noisy from the road.

I might park here one night in a pinch, but otherwise not. It's just under the highway and noisy. There is no cell service here (I have Bell and I had zero bars). Also, if you're driving here, know that the next place on the highway to turn around is far, so you'll be doing a lot of driving to get to and from. It's on a connector highway to Merritt and Vancouver, so there aren't many exits to turn around at.
