Tatvan to Van | Vehicle Shipping

The ferry was supposed to leave at 9am (so the guard said) but it actually left at 9.30 am. It took 5 hours to get to Van. All very smooth and comfortable. Once on board a man will come to you to issue the tickets (I think cash only). 100 tl for the vehicle and 20 tl per person.

Ask guard for shipping dates. On Tuesday ship was not sailing due to demand and weather, today it went. Arrived at 07.30 and guard was sleeping so we directly drove it onto the ship. Inside the ship you can buy tickets. Camper 6m with 2 persons is 120TL (€4) and they said it will take 5 hours (we just left). Ship is used for trains and trucks.

Ferry is still going. You have to ask the gard at the entrance, when the ferry is going. Ours was at 9.am.
It is actually a train ferry, which also carries small amount of cars.
We paid 110 Lira for truck and 2 persons (kids are free).
The trip is very beautiful!

entrance for vehicle shipping from Tatvan to Van. Normal shipping is at 8:00, price 50 ytl for truck, 15 ytl per person. Pay on the ferry. Check for departure hours with guards.
