Description

ADMIN NOTE: No overnight camping allowed, please respect the wishes of the locals.

Stayed here a couple nights throughout our time in San Fran. Twice in the actual parking lot and once in the grassy area just behind. 3-4 other vans/RVs also overnighted each time we were there. No hassles. Clean restrooms (at least when the crowds weren’t crazy). Great place from which to walk or bike to Golden Gate Bridge and Presidio. Outdoor cold shower for rinsing from beach by bathroom.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed here last night with a ton of other band and RVs. Cops came and nicely told us to leave at 5:50 am. There are actually “no overnight parking” signs posted at the entrance of this area.

Great place to wash the dog after a swim!

After spending two nights around the streets of SF (we added one of the spots in this app), we came here to hang out during the morning. Although there is a sign at the entrance that says the camping is not allowed, we found 5 big rvs and a few vans clearly staying here. It might be because it's August that the police allows people to sleep here, but no one seemed to bother. So we decided to give it a try and stay for the night. Clean toilets, cold outdoor showers and space for many vehicles. This is definitely the spot to stay at in SF, we thought. We talked to other travelers and they said that some nights ago police came and kicked everybody out, but didn't fine anyone. So we stayed, there were around 10 rigs at night. And then at 6am police knocked on our door and asked us to leave. The officer was polite and didn't give us a ticket, just asked us to leave, even if it was daytime. We met a guy that had been coming here for the last 3 years and he told us he usually moves after dark to Bay Street and then comes back early in the morning.

Report Check-In

There is a no overnight camping sign at entrance. But we are 1 of the 10+ vehicles here that are obviously sleeping here.

Report Check-In

Sign at entrance saying no camping or overnight parking. Didn't stay to test this!

Great spot. We overnight 2 days without any problem.

Excelente lugar, nos quedamos 2 noches. Hay varias RV durmiendo también. El lugar es seguro y con buena vista.
