Latest Check-Ins

Over the past 6 months I’ve stayed at Mision Surf a few times. They let me hang my hammock for $150 pesos. I had a dorm room for $300 pesos. And I’ve recently volunteered in exchange for free accomodation. I had the waves to myself most days, and surfed with friendly locals other days. Pelicans of days, catching waves alongside you. The staff are hell cool, and the dogs that live there became my best mates. Stays include use of Outside fire BBQ and kitchen, campfire and free wood, pool, showers and power points. The hotel is not usually busy so you often have it to yourself. Best sunsets / sunrises I’ve seen in Chiapas.

After crossing the border from Guatemala into Mexico this was our first stop. Although it was a bit out of our way, we wanted to stay here to contribute to this incredible organisation. An Australian couple that took on 7 kids from an orphanage that closed down that they were volunteering at and built it up to offer surfing and educating kids about the water. When we arrived there were kids here but they still let us camp as long as we stayed out of the way while the kids were here. We completed understood this and respected that they were trying to protect these vulnerable children. It’s a beautiful place and we had full run of the place when the kids weren’t around. The pool was a welcome treat in the heat and humidity. We were able to plug in so we could use our AC. There are 2 dogs on site but they didn’t come near us. Our dog enjoyed having the freedom to run around. There’s toilets and showers but we didn’t need to use them as we have our own. Outdoor kitchen was great for washing dishes. WiFi available near the main building. If you’re surfer, it’s a great place!! 150 pesos per person per night which is not expensive for what you get. The place is well maintained and well thought out. Would definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

Access by truck is almost impossible without a 4x4 because too low branches block the road and the other option involves going through the sand. On arrival, very disappointed with the place, poorly maintained, bathrooms and common furniture are dirty. The pool is running out of water and starting to look green. The staff are not welcoming. Too bad, we were thinking of staying there (camping) and taking surfing lessons but we left before even spending a night.

Report Check-In

There are 2 dogs belonging to the place. After hours already beeing on the place, the black one, named Dundee, attacked me unexpectedly from behind without any warning. Bit me in the back. For good luck the Lady in charge immediately took him away. It was already dark, so we couldn't leave the place immediately. Left early the next morning.

We tent camped here for 4 nights and were definitely pleased! There is ample parking space and there are a few animals on the property that don’t come near you (rooster, lambs and a couple of pups). The pups are rescue sweethearts and mind their own business. The two very nice gentlemen at the place are very helpful and nice. The pool and restrooms are clean and available, however, the hotel is still closed due to some maintenance. Overall an awesome experience by the beach. The waves are very strong so definitely not for swimming but if you’re a surfer, you will find the waves great. There are a couple small coves at about a 10 minute walk were you can swim in calmer waves. For food options, you will have to like seafood and if you do, the palapas have the freshest seafood I’ve ever tried. Not many shops, or bars but people do sell immediate household items and street food around this town. Would totally come back here

We stayed for one night. Now it's 150 P.p.P and the Pool wasn't clean and they have to do some generell maintenance. Toilet and shower were clean. They guys are friendly and the view quite nice.

Report Check-In

Second time here.
150 Pesos per night with the van.
clean showers and toilet. Good spot to sleep, calm.

Report Check-In

They are not renting rooms due to the pandemic but we are allowed to camp here in our van. Clean showers and bathrooms. Usually price is $150MX per person a night but since the pool is empty we are being charged $100MX
Free wifi. Friendly host. The neighborhood is a little rough. Nothing within walking distance in terms of restaurants or bars. They have various animals on the property (eg goats, dogs, etc) so if you bring pets make sure they are well behaved.

Report Check-In

Chill spot with nice pool area right on the ocean. The hotel itself will fit any sized rigs but the road through town is kind of narrow with some low trees. Rooms are available but no air con or hot showers. Power and water available but no dump.

Goats, chickens and ducks roam the property. Unfortunately there are also a pack of dogs on the property which bark often. Two of the dogs are aggressive Pit Bulls which attacked my wife and bit her. BEWARE!

This is a very nice place, next to the beach. A lovely couple runs a children’s refuge in Tapachula and live here at this place. They are very accommodating. They have a wonderful pool, great bathrooms with showers and a outdoor communal kitchen. On weekends they give swimming lessons and English to local kids and kids from their refuge. They also have rooms. Very relaxing place. They also have surf classes

Cobran 100 pesos x persona y aceptan mascotas.
